Treat or Treating for Halloween
« on: October 10, 2019, 06:51:20 pm »
I wasn't allowed to go Treat a treating as a kid due to religious reasons and all of the neighborhood kids used to wonder why and we didn't even pass out candy to other kids.

I don't ever remember going as a kid.  My parents especially my mother were very over protective of me.

I trick or treated as a kid. It was a  great experience and I think that it should continue!

I went as a kid and loved it.  Things were so different now then when I was little.

We always went up until we were in High School. We had to carry a extra Bag for My Sweet Daddy. He has always loved to eat candy and we would make sure to give him the most. My Daddy is in Heaven now with The Lord. I miss him so much.

We always went up until we were teenagers.  I took my daughter when she was young.  We've never had a trick-or-treater at our house except for relatives who brought their kids by.  We live too far up a hollow for them to venture.
Have a wonderful day!

I've always gone trick or treating..as a child, teenage, and adult. Then I moved on to taking kids trick or treating.  Now I stay home and wait for the trick or treaters to come to me.

Not living in a town, no problem anymore. No one comes, not even the young grandkids. Saves a lot of money....but if I lived in town, I'd probably do the Reese's peanut butter cups commercial....buy a bunch of Reese's, turn off the lights, and lock the door.s  :D   because I love Reese's PB cups.

I do not celebrate Halloween.  I did not trick or treat and do not hand out candy.  I don't turn outside lights on and I don't go to the door.  Nobody comes where I live anyway.  I think years ago on my street one kid came to the door and I don't know why because the place looked deserted and there were no lights on.

Trick or Treating is not safe any more.  Would you let your child eat candy that a stranger at Walmart walked up and handed to them?

SFREEMAN8, I said that the other day. I am gonna buy 4 bags and turn off all the lights and not share. haha

We always had the best time going trick-or-treating course the best part was when you got home and you got to go through all that candy mama drop us off at the end of the block and we could walk the whole block and she’d stay in the car and follow us I remember thinking those mask where the hottest  things ever you couldn’t hardly breathe under there

I enjoyed trick or treating as a child. It seems like there are less and less trick or treaters each year. Most people go to trunk or treats or other fall festivals.

My brother and I were allowed to go out trick-or-treating when we were kids, but of course that was 45-50 years ago! I didn't really care to go out, though. I preferred to stay in and hand out candy. Besides, my brother would bring home more than enough candy for both of us!  :pumpkin: :peace:

We always went as kids, I had  to take my kids to another town when they were little, or to the mall.
