"Leave it to Beaver" was one of my favorites.  I, too, loved the wholesomeness.  We've watched the reruns lately, and I never noticed being annoyed by any of the story treatment.  Eddie Haskell has always been a memorable character in our household.  We have come across several "Eddie Haskell's" through the years, the kids who are exquisitely nice in front of parents, but completely different when grown ups are not around.

I enjoyed that show when I was younger, as alot of them in that same time, now I watch them and they all seem so hokey :(

I cant remember Beaver being dumb, his brothers best friend the blonde guy whos name escapes me was dumb!
Some measure stupidity and dumbness because of their own stupidity and dumbness.
