My wife and I were married on October 1st. It is the best time for a wedding in my opinion. Beautiful weather - still sunny and warm, but no longer ungodly hot. (Of course, I say that and today we are projected to possibly break some record high temperatures for the date!)  And it is also the date farthest away on the calendar from April Fool's Day.

Happy Anniversary!  I do agree about the 'normal' October weather, but not today.  We have the air on, it's 88 degrees and humidity of 80 percent.
