I would say that I am an introvert.  I like people and I enjoy being around them.  But I always look forward to going home.  And I like to be alone.

Yes I am. I still like to be with people, like my family and coworkers. I feel like friends are overrated. I try to keep one or two of them. All in all I prefer me time.

Yes, but I don't feel that technology is at all more important than friends and relatives are. Do you think you need help with your behavior?

No I don't think I need help with my behavior, I just go where I want to go. Depends whos going to be there too..

Me and my daughter are the same way, we don't like having to deal with a lot of people, we go to church, but to all family functions, some aren't as exciting. Being home and away from people suits us just fine. If we see you, then ok, but if not, then so be it. We as far as being a social type person, it all depends.

Me too. Especially as of late. Its much more freeing.

I am an introvert that is sometimes forced to operate as an extrovert because of job positions.

I'm more of an ambivert (in the middle of the spectrum) that leans more toward introversion. I enjoy being around people but I also need my quiet, alone time to recharge. I enjoy socializing but find small talk exhausting.

I have taken Meyers Briggs and it said I'm an introvert, but I find it hard to believe because I talk to everyone.

I don't like crowds but I love talking to people.

The common misconception about introvert vs extrovert is that they are determined by how much you enjoy talking to people. That actually isn't true. They are more about where you get your energy from and how you process information. Introverts get energy from alone time and process information in their own heads. Extroverts get energy from other people and prefer to process information by talking with someone else.

I used to be social, but now its so much easier alone.

I used to be really bad, did not want to be around  many people. But over the years I have learned to  handle people on a one on one basis, But if they start to crowd me, I start pull away from them. I will even leave them standing for a few moments to run outside and collect myself. Most at the Ministry are ok with it. they have gotten to know my quirks . Even my boss is very understanding about it.  Most times I have someone I can  call to take over for a little bit. I wish I could get over it but now at 76 I guess I am not going to.
