Well today we started putting the summer things away.  In the sheds and garage are now the 2 glass top tables, 3 umbrellas, the charcoal grill (gas one stays out longer) 8 chairs that went around the 2 tables and some garden knick knacks.  There are still some zero gravity chairs out and Monday is garbage night so all my hanging plants will go as most of them are half dead.   I hate this time of year, give me summer or spring anytime.

I live in central Florida so don't do most of the stuff you described except in between hurricanes.  I did live in NC for two years though so I can kind of relate.  Well take care no matter what the season is for you.

I look forward to this time of year up here in northern Ohio. I'm not excited about the cold and snow, but I am loving the cooler fall weather!!!

I am so ready for  cool weather. It seems like this  past two and half months it is  so darn hot.  Mostly  high 90's to  triple digit weather.  It will get  somewhat cold this winter.  But you want hear me gripe as much about it. Because I never wore a coat  last year. Just a heavy sweater.  And volunteering  down at the ministry it was so much easier because it was not  so blooming hot. Even with 3 ACS going it was hot. My little grocery area is sandwiched in between the back work  room and the  front with clothing and I get  very little  cool air. Sweat like  crazy.  Oh well doing what the  Lord wants me to do.

I totally agree with you Nancy! Winter is too long, Summer is too short. I always find myself wishing for the Winter to end but they drag on and always when I'm just starting to enjoy Summer, it's time to prepare for cold weather again. Give me warm days outside with my grill instead of frosty days inside with layers piled on!

I agree 100%.  I hate winter, Don t like the cold,  but hate ice and snow.

I also think spring and summer do not last long enough, fall I almost get depressed because of the colder weather coming.  I loved to watch the leaves change colors, but it also makes me sad that it means it will soon be colder.

I myself am ready for cooler weather bonfires cookouts I can’t stand the hot hot weather of course that’s because I have lupus and it just makes me sick. Fall is the best time of the year for me

It's still summer here, in the mid-90s today... I only can wish putting summer stuff away, I actually put stuff out when summer passes, because it is just too hot & the sun fades & many of my plants & grass die.  I can't wait for the cooler weather... all relative to where we live, I guess.

I agree I am very sad to see summer go.  Yesterday was cloudy and chilly and I thought about putting away my summer clothes already.  I hate that it gets dark at before 8pm and it's only going to get worse.  In a few years I'm definitely going to move somewhere warm all year.  I hate cold weather.

i agree it is very sad to put summer stuff away.yesterday was very cool and rainy here. i hope the nice is around for at least the next couple of months! I hate winter and turning on my heat!

I agree, summer goes so fast and winter seems to last forever.

Don't be so sad, Summer will be back before you know it. To be honest, I am ready for the cooler Weather. I live here in Georgia and we have had some of the most hottest weather ever. I love the crisp cool weather of the Fall Season.
