East Coast dodged Gabrielle - turned North!!  Good Job! Of course having lived through several of these I am happy!

I have answered a similar question before. Everyone says that cyclones spin one way in the northern hemisphere and the opposite way in the southern hemisphere. That is not true. They spin in exactly the same direction in both the northern and southern hemispheres. They only appear to spin in different directions because you’re looking at them upside down in the southern hemisphere.
