Grilled burgers and hot dogs are my summer favorites especially paired with either potato or macaroni salad.  Winter is chili time.

I agree that fresh fruits and vegetables are great summer treats and Ice Cream is a daily staple for me, but my absolute favorite summer food is fresh caught Alaska Sockeye Salmon and I am fortunate to have a son that lives there, so my freezer is usually well stocked with it.

To be honest, I do not notice a difference in the taste in food. I will say, however, barbecuing so much more exciting to do in the summer months than any other time of the year.

I love the local produce in the summer. It is either shipped in or frozen in the winter.

Absolutely, most foods look and taste better in summer than in any other season.
I think it is because they are fresher during the summer season.

Summer time I eat a lot of fruits and veggies that are  right off the vine. And since I have decided to quit smoking and lose weight at the same time, I leave the carbs and starches alone also. So far I have lost some weight and am way down on the smoking. Now if I can just  keep it up. And I think I can as long as hubby  is trying to quit smoking also.

I love garden fresh vegetables in the summer.  There is nothing better than fresh squash, green beans, butter beans and cucumbers.  There is nothing better than a garden tomato sandwich.
