An 83 year old Rodeo Clown

Have you ever been to a Rodeo?

I was watching the news this morning and felt that I was being introduced to an 83 year old Rodeo Clown named Lecile Harris. 

I don't know everything but I know that being in a Rodeo is hard work; whether you're riding bulls or dodging them.  It's tough to comprehend an 83 year old individual being able to participate in those activities.

This specific Rodeo Clown says he's having fun and he plans to continue....

as long as he's having fun.

Personally, when I'm 83 years old I plan to be having fun in a rocking chair.

No, I have never been to a rodeo but if I ever get a chance to go to one, I sure will do that. The 83 year old guy sounds like a lot of fun. It also sounds like his job is keeping him young, so I hope he keeps up with it as long as he can.

That is amazing! Being a rodeo clown seems to be an activity that requires a lot of energy. I have been to a few rodeos. My niece was rookie barrel of the year a few years back at age fifteen. She did not need a rodeo clown for her event-just her and her horse against several barrels and a clock. She is making good cash doing it, in present day, and got a full ride scholarship. Her mother (my sister) refuses to watch her daughter because she feels that rodeos are cruel to animals. She may be on to something: my niece's horse had to be put down a month ago after sustaining an injury during competition. Older people are accomplishing more and more everyday. I have seen YouTube videos in which eighty somethings are in great bodybuilding shape and walking modeling catwalks.

Yes I have been to a rodeo back when I was in school our FFA went to Kansas City to the national convention and we all got to attend a rodeo it was fascinating I left it the work that those people do it’s dangerous but it’s so exciting I enjoyed it very much and if he’s 83 years old and still doing this cheers to him

I have never been to one, but would love to attend and great that an 83 year old clown is still performing!

I've never been a fan of rodeos personally, but I do know what a rodeo clown does. The fact that an 83 year old is physically capable of participating in that activity is an amazing feat. If I make it to that age I will probably just be putting together jigsaw puzzles in the retirement home.
