Sports Participant or Spectator?

So which role do you prefer to take in sports?  Would you rather be a participant or an onlooker?  For me, I used to like to participate in most sports but now that I am much older, I just want to watch.  Actually, there aren't many sports i even like to watch anymore. The Olympics is my main sporting event I watch now!

I am more of a spectator. I am, by no means, flexible, coordinated, or athletically gifted. So it is spectating for me, especially wrestling, basketball, tennis, and football.

I used to play a lot when I was longer but an injury last year has really limited my output. I'm still not 100% and can't risk get injured again. It took almost a year of rehab. I do love watching my son playing baseball and have been to every single one of his games. So I'm definitely a spectator now.

I only watch these days.  I listen to my hubby and son coach NFL and NBA games sometime just for the entertainment. They are so funny

I used to be active in sports until I was about 40 . then I started to watch it more than I would play so I started watching it more live and on television.

I am a big time spectator watching the NBA playoffs and Finals, Tiger Woods (I love to watch him at the Majors) and Serena Williams at the Majors. I also watch the NCAA march madness tournament. However if I had my choice I'd be not just a participant, but a league star. I'd love to have the talent to play pro basketball and it would be really nice to be paid millions of dollars to do what you love. Unfortunately I'm not athletic so I have to just watch only instead.

I am a spectator now a days but did play softball and volleyball in my younger days.

I participate for fun when I can otherwise I am a spectator. I keep involved by scorekeeping local basketball games.
