Burger King
« on: June 05, 2019, 09:28:30 am »
We have ONE BK in our area. Without warning, they decided to close to remodel the whole place. It's driving everyone crazy. McDonald's now has a full parking lot with people in line out the door and now taking at least 20 minutes to get waited on and it's no better with the drive thru.

I can't wait until they're open again.  Has that happened with your local BK?

We don't have a Burger King in our town...only McDonalds and I'm not a big fan.  Much prefer BK.

We have 1 BK in our town too.  And it's directly across the street from a McDonalds.  The BK is dirty.  The employee's are dirty and the service is slow.  I've come to a point where I refuse to eat at our local BK because of the conditions.  The McDonalds is always full, running smooth.  In fact it went through a remodel and even it's being closed down for a bit didn't seem to give BK any more business.

Yes, last year BK shut down for a while for renovations. Now it's open and doing fine.

It has not happened with Burger King. But what has happened is that Wendy's and McDonald's both decided to remodel at the same time. Needless to say the other fast food places are now so crowded.

We got a new BK last year. The next town over has Arbys. Taco Bell, and McDonalds all doing repairs at the same time!

Usually when a store is making renovations, they stay open.

I was a secret shopper for 5 years at the BK in another town. Pay wasn't  bad. It was my mad money. also  did it  at the sonic at the same time. But different days a couple of times a week. Which worked out great as I was working for health care and would be out of town. Come into town and stop and do my little thing and then on my  way home  with supper for 2 even if I had to order at  different time ( a few minutes  apart} Al I had to do was order the Burger taste it, record what I thought about it, the wait time and friendliness of the waiter  and check to see if it was clean and come home. Send in my receipt and  receive a check.

Our local burger king isn't that popular I mean they stay open but they never seem to have that much business where our McDonalds is always packed. I need to stay out of all of them because I am diabetic but that isn't always easy to do.

We have two Burger Kings not far from us and from what I can see neither have ever remodeled. Our local Mcdonalds remodeled fairly recently, but I think they wanted to keep up the place since there is a huge amount of business to be had from people coming from the local area hospital within walking distance of that Mcdonalds. The first Burger King is usually always slow and I don't expect that to change. The other BK is connected to a gas station in a decent traffic area, but usually is fairly fast so we go to that one.

Nothing.  They did remodel a few years ago but no one freaked out over it.  I don't care if they close completely.  Our BK is dirty, the employees look like skanks, and are too stupid to make change when you tell them what coins you are owed.  I have only been there a couple times in the past few years and the last time - was the last time I will frequent this establishment.
