Ladies and Handbags

I have several acquaintances who spend a lot on purses.  They do one of two things.  They either are constantly buying "budget" handbags because they can't turn down a bargain and/or need to add to their collection or they spend several hundred dollars on a handbag.  I can't do either.  I buy purses that are under $100, put my stuff in it, and use it until I'm tired of it or it's starting to wear out.  I hate to change handbags after i get used to it and where everything is. Ladies: which type of handbag user are you?

I have one purse at a time that I use until it breaks, and it's always a cheapo because I don't care. I do not understand people who buy purse after purse of any price. It's such a hassle to move your stuff from one to the other. I wish I could just make do with pockets lol.

I only buy purses that are under $50 and have a cross body strap. I can't stand the purses where it seems that you are constantly pushing it back onto your shoulder. And I use the same one until it starts wearing out or someone buys me a purse as a gift.

I have one purse that I wear until it looks bad, or I’m completely bored with it.  I usually wear black, but lately I’m into gray so that’s the color of mine now.

I will usually buy a handbag and use it until it looks so bad that I'm ashamed to continue to use it.  I probably spend less than $50 on it.  I have only ever had a name brand handbag and that was a Coach bag that my daughter bought me for my birthday at the Coach outlet and it was on sale.

I have about 6 six different handbags that are different colors but some were gifts but when I do buy a handbag I do spend a little more at the outlet stores because they seem to last longer and I am constantly switching purse.

Handbags are my thing.  I have about 40 of them...small cross bodies, satchels, totes. I love them all, but I'm running out of storage space.  Sadly, you can only carry one at time.

I have 6 handbags that I alternate between so the wear and tear is minimal so thank goodness they last for quite a while.

If it is a bag I carry daily, then I just use until I wear it out; I don't generally spend more then $50, probably much less; I only bug high end bags if I get them from a consingment shop.

I'm the same - buy one until it breaks, gets old, or gets ruined. I bought one for a wedding last year and now it's my designated concert bag because it's so small and only has one pouch. Enough room to keep my license & debit card without worrying about losing them in my pocket. Lol.

I think luxury handbags are very pretty, but way too expensive for my taste. I remember reading a story that Michelle Obama earned at least $300 in babysitting money as a teenager and bought a handbag with that money. Her mother asked why she would spend so much and she said my handbag may be expensive, but will last far longer than yours. That was funny to me and while some designer handbags may last longer I could never imagine buying anything over $25 since I just do simple things and want a basic everyday wear purse.

I have a couple of handbags but almost always take the black one.  I use it until it's worn out and then purchase another inexpensive one.

I have about 5 bags that I switch around to year round. I have to have a certain bag type and don't spend a lot on them. I buy thrift store bags.
