Rude and Hostile Responses
« on: June 02, 2019, 09:27:23 pm »
In the last few months, I have noticed that a very small number of members are posting some very "in your face" rude and hostile responses to other members. In all cases, it is very uncalled for. All members on this site should feel comfortable expressing their opinions about offers, videos, etc without being jumped and attacked by another member.

I have been on this site for about 10 years and only noticed this the last few months. Also, the persons attacking are very few in number, fortunately.

These attacks towards another member because of what he / she said could be keeping some persons from posting or even participating in FC.

I have noticed that too.  Like my mother always said  "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything."

Hopefully I am not one.  Because these so called "attackers" irritate and frustrate me and causes, not just me, but people to say things they regret or they don't mean.  People lets wake up, quit QQQQing about every little thing there is.  Be grateful you can come to a site and make a decent amount of money without having to put much work into it.  If you think about it, much better than flipping a burger, or waiting tables, or ringing up people on a cash register.  Tell me if I am wrong?

It is somewhat disconcerting that people take it upon themselves to attack others. Many do it without researching their hostile responses which makes it even worse. I rarely post twice on the same subject because reviewing the responses only causes me to form an opinion of the antagonist. After giving it a few days to settle down it is usually easy to figure out where the person was coming from and allows me to be more empathetic. For instance one person consistently uses derogatory terms and name calling. I can forgive, have pity, on this person because they were not given a proper upbringing. The source of their anger probably comes from frustration at their own lack of polite coping mechanisms. Having an opinion that is not one that I agree with is fine but name calling is so below the common person.

I have noticed it also and felt that some of the comments are unnecessary.  Many times I see a rude post and think to myself bother posting anything if every is negative.  However, people still should be able to post their opinions but maybe watch how it is worded.

I've noticed this as well and even have a particular posting member in mind.  Sometimes she will have as many as 30+ postings on 1 thread because she always has to have the last word and seems to enjoy belittling and bullying other members along with the grade-school name calling.  SMH, just get over yourself already, geeze!

One of my Mom's favorite words was respect.  It is now becoming my favorite word as well.  You don't have to agree with others, you don't have to follow their advice or their ways but you can still respect their opinions.  That is what I strive to do.

About a month ago, I and my spiritual Sister gave a demonstration on the platform at our local Kingdom Hall.  The subject of our part had to do with people who have different viewpoints and objections to our beliefs.  In the demonstration, I told her that I respect her viewpoint, that other people feel the same way as she does and that it is understandable to feel that way because... then I led her to a Bible verse.

It was all a demonstration on how we should try to deal with people; whether we are having a Bible discussion or a discussion on any matter.  Kindness works.  If the other person continues to be rude and hostile, you can always say that you have tried your best.

I've noticed it, too, but only 2 members unless I read something into posts that others don't.  The one poster was really nasty but hasn't seen that one in quite a while. Maybe that person left the site?

I have seen a few snippy comments but I just try to be nice and get in my forum posts. No need to be mean.

Flipping burgers and being a cashier pays more than FC.  I doubt anybody on here is making $8 to $10 an hour.

WEll then you go do that then.  Why are you here if a "job" pays more than this does?  Not the point that anybody on here is getting paid to $8 to $10 an hour.  Point being is this is so easy to "chase the pennies" but people complain about doing it.  And just to let you know I don't have to worry about it because I am retired.  I don't need a "job."

And have you asked everyone on here to find out if they are making $8 to $10 an hour on here?  Do you know for sure are you a Moderator?  DOn't put stuff out there you don't know the facts about.

I have not because in my opinion, the rudeness is not yet severe enough to warrant a complaint ticket.

Also, under every post, there is a link that says "report to moderator" so a complaint ticket is not necessary.

lol.  And you want to talk about others making rude and hostile responses.  Kind of the pot calling the kettle black.

THIS is NOT a job.  I have said that repeatedly.  And NO I do not need to go flip burgers.  I have a real job.  Have also said that more than once.

Yes, I know people on here are not making $10 an hour on this site.  First it is just common sense.  And besides that I can see from your banner you have made a little over $63 on this site with payout of less than $30 so it is pretty obvious people are not making a full time income here.

Hilarious is you end your last post with "tell me if I am wrong" and I reply and say that "flipping burgers pays more than penny surveys and you get all bent out of shape.
