How much do you tip your hair stylist?

I haven't gone to a hairstylist in over a decade. I don't trust people to do my hair so I do it myself. If I mess up I am ok, but if a hairstylist does my hair and I don't like it after I paid, I am going to be really upset.

I style my own hair on a daily basis, but I get it cut and colored at a salon. I usually tip 15%.  You have to tell them what you want and keep and eye on the process.  Don't let them go down the path of destruction.  LOL

When I get color put in and a nice cut I tip from $10 to $20 as it takes a while and I know my hairstylist!

I don't tip the hairdresser except at Christmas, I feel she is getting paid for doing her job that she chose to do.

I do not see how the techs stand to stay in them places.  I worked as a seasonal with a delivery service once and we have to make deliveries to a nail salon in my town.  It would take my breath to walk in.  I could not breath and had to hold my breath while I was in there.

I usually I tip 3 to5 dollars depending on what I have with me.

If my hair stylist does does a really good job which she always does, then I will always pay her well.
