There are some great ideas on here. Pop rocks are the most unique but I don't think they would work well. I think York Peppermint pattie pieces would be great.

The kids are 5.  So I am not sure they would like that.  I was actually going to add it to the muffin mixes that are like some berry flavor.  So maybe blueberry or strawberry.

Shoot  my  kids  would at anything sweet because ithey didn't get a lot of it at  home, except for their lunches. I would  always make brownies with zuccinni in them,  They didn't know any better  until they were in high school. Poor things. Hahaha.

I like apple chunks in muffins.  I don't know if candy like Pop Rocks will work out well when baked.  I would think they would not "pop" once they have been baked.

No but it could give an interesting flavor.

I am thinking I will def do the Nerds.  Still kicking around doing pop rocks as well.  You could put those on top maybe?

I will let you all know.  I should be doing it next Sunday morning.

I was going to do it next Sunday but one of the kids will not be there so it will be the following Sunday. SO it will be a couple of weeks. I will for sure let you all know how it turns out.  Apparently we also have to have sprinkles on top. lol  I think I am going to go with the muffins.  But instead of sprinkles I am thinking about using the pop rocks on the top.

I have put m&m's in muffins before. That may seem obvious but they're good.

I don’t think candy would suit muffins. That sounds like how an odd combination would sound to me!

Well you have to remember it is for young kids.  They like weird stuff.  It may work better if you had a recipe for plain muffins and added your candy and didn't have any berries in them.

Well it isn't something you buy already made.  I am making Strawberry muffins and adding Nerds to the mix before I bake them.  That is what they have asked for.  Along with whipped cream and sprinkles. LOL  SMH

SO I will let you know how it turns out.

I done this a couple weeks ago. I had promised to come back and tell how it went.

SO I made the Martha White Strawberry muffins where you add the mix and 1/2 cup milk.  Then I added 1 tablespoon of the Rainbow Nerds to the mix and baked as normal.

They were good and the kids loved them.  Some bites were a little tart where a lot of the Nerds were in the mix.  It baked really well.  I used a mini muffin tin.

And the Nerds were not crunch in the mix at all.
