Yes, I always take one. I can always use a new pen.

A lot of times I do, but here is the thing, I have so many pens now, I don't know what to do with all of them.

If it is just a regular ink pen I usually don't any more. But if they are different or look cool I will take one.  Sometimes I will anyway but the regular cheap ink pens I can pass up.

What gets me is when businesses have the ink pens for the taking and employees who have no say in it or didn't spend any money for the pen to be there want to be snarly about people taking them.  Like at the bank when you have a cup of them sitting on the counter and somebody takes one.

At the same time it is annoying when you are a cashier and you have ONE ink pen and some person asks to borrow one to write their check and they just stick in in their pocket.  And you ask for it back and they laugh and say they didn't know they were taking it.  Yes you did.  You knew you didn't have an ink pen. smh

Yes I do.  When I used to go to this one specific bank to pay my hubby's truck payment I always took a free pen. There were great pens and I loved the way they wrote.

It depends on how good the pens are... I like the flex grip pens & buy boxes of them from Sam's Club, so I'm well stocked on pens.  But one can never have enough pens, they always seem to "disappear" esp with kids around.

Always.  Especially if they're purple.

Depending on the circumstances, I typically do take them. You can never have enough pens! Plus, they usually write much better than classic store-bought ones.

We have a dentist office that is at a lot of promotional things and they have awesome pens.

lol Yeah but most promotional pens are either going to write blue or black.  Not too many give away pens that write cool colors like purple.

Speaking of cool shades of ink, I collected a few giveaway mini Sharpies (printed with bank's logo) from my bank about 9 years ago.  One was a light purple shade.  I'm still using that one, but hadn't given it a thought as to whether they still give those away these days.  I just may check that out. :)

Hmmm  I would like for some place to give something like that away.  I love Sharpie's.  They have some really cool colors at Walmart but they are really expensive.  I use them to write stuff on the calendar and I use different colors.
