Sad Again!
« on: April 03, 2019, 02:09:16 pm »
Well today I had to put down my Heidy.  She was my cat that had pancreatic cancer and sadly she took a turn for the worst this morning.  Three weeks ago I had to put down another cat due to kidney failure.  This is the part of pet owning i hate.  I'm praying this is it for awhile with my other pets.  I don't think I could stand losing three in a short period.

hitch I really don't know. All my pets are rescues and we only take ones other people won't. Harry came to us with kidney problems and they estimate him about 16. Heidy came with bad respiratory problems that we finally got resolved.   They estimate her about the same 16

I think that is really common in cats and dogs.  They can't do anything about it.  All of mine are healthy right now.  And not too old. I lost a dog not long ago.  I don't think I will ever get another one.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  That's the main reason why I stopped having pets. It's so hard to have to say goodbye to them.

I am sorry for the loss of your furry buddies.  I know that we can become very close to our pets.  They really do  become members of our family.  Hugs.

It is so hard to say goodbye to your pets especially those that you have had for a long time.  I still miss my Tommy Dog.  It has been three years since he passed.  We had him for 14 years.  Got him when he was 8 weeks old.  He was such a blessing for my husband when he became permanently disabled.  He helped us tremendously while we were going through our "empty nest" stage.  We had him cremated and he has a prominent spot on our mantle.
Have a wonderful day!

Sorry for your loss.  I don't have pets but I'm told they are just like family.  My son feels his dog is my granddaughter and I must say she is a sweetie pie.

Thank you all for your kind words.  I know my Harry and Heidy are pain free and now playing with all my many cats who are in heaven.  In a few weeks our search will start for one or two cats to join our family.  We will look for ones who either have been in a shelter in a cage for over 2 years, any with medical problems, any who have been abused, or any who have either a slim to no chance to be adopted for any reason.

It is so hard to lose pets,no matter what the ages.  You get so attached so quickly, but I don't know what we would do without them.  Thank you for taking and loving the ones others do not.
