Facebook Marketplace
« on: March 31, 2019, 03:35:27 pm »
Has anyone used Facebook Marketplace to sell items of yours OR Bought items that other people put up for sale?

I have done both.  I sold the baby crib a few years back once all the kids said they were not interested in it.

Recently I have purchased a Lazy-Boy Recliner and a Recycling Center cabinet.

It is fun to browse through Facebook Marketplace.  There are quite a few great finds on it.!

I browse it at least once a day.  I would love to find a good Lazy Boy Recliner.   I'm having some health issues and my recliner is the only place I'm comfortable, but mine is really worn.   Hope I can be lucky and find one.  I do see a lot of nice items and sometimes it's really tempting but it's always things I don't really need.

My oldest daughter has it used it quite a bit and made some good money selling things she no longer uses.  For example, she regularly goes through my granddaughter's clothing and makes bundles of them and sells them.  She buys my granddaughter nice clothing and my granddaughter is not hard on her clothing so people usually snap them up quickly. She has also sold toy bundles as my granddaughter has lost interest in them. Recently she sold her bedroom set because she got a new one.  I know she has also sold a sofa and a small dining room table and chairs.

I don't really need much of  anything.  In fact maybe I should check it out and  see if I  can sell some items. It is not something I have thought about. But have been thinking of having a  yard sale, But  just not  sure I want to  it anymore. It is a lot of work. FB might be the way to go. a lot of it is old and way to heavy  for me to lift.  some of it  was  grandfathers and mothers.  But here we go again do I really want o get rid of it now or  wait.

I've never looked into it, but being on Facebook, I always just assumed that they likely get a cut of the price. I have grown more and more disillusioned with Facebook as I hear more stories about the B.S. that they pull with their selective censorship and am less likely to look to their marketplace because of it.  I could be wrong.  (But I doubt it).
