GE, Whirlpool and Frigidaire are the best.  I used to do Kenmore but they aren't as good as they used to be and with Sears constantly filling for bankruptcy, it's easier to go with a company you can get anywhere.

Hi King4cash, i'm leaning towards an LG. A friend of mine works for GE and told me to never buy their products (not sure why) I read reviews on Frigidaire and they catch fire easily. So we haven't gotten one yet but I think LG will be the one.....thanks

Everything's electric now; why would you want a gas stove? Anyway, the only brands I know is Kenmore & Ge

We had Frigidaire appliances in our rental house. They were new when we moved in, so they were only three years old when we left. But we didn't have any problems with them.

We currently have GE appliances in our apartment. They're not brand new, but they're not old enough to be falling apart already either. The oven takes forever to pre-heat, and you have to bake everything a few minutes longer. Same with the microwave. The ice maker in the fridge is noisy and works intermittently. Sometimes it'll go all day without making ice, other times it makes too much and gets jammed up. The water dispenser would keep dispensing water even after you pulled your glass away. There is no emergency stop button, so it was fun cleaning up puddles of water. The dishwasher is ok. I won't be buying GE if/when I ever need to buy appliances.

The guy at Home depot told us that whirlpool is made by Maytag, both good products.

I have only purchased two Stoves in my Lifetime. I buy my Stoves from Sears only and it is usually a Kenmore or Whirlpool. My Stove is Electric with a Glass top. I Love my Glass top because they are so much easier to clean than the old kind with electric burners. I never liked taking my Stove completely a part after each Meal just to clean it. Now all I have to do is put the Glass Top Cleaner on and rub with a scratchless pad and then wipe off the cleaner and Buff my Stove with a dry towel. This is so much easier.

I have never had one before. I have always had electric. There is something about a gas stove that I have always made me fell uneasy.
