Never buy cleaning products again!

    Cleaning products: Do not buy them because they are expensive, contain dangerous chemicals and sometimes, they do not even work well. And, yes! There are other alternatives..to save time and money.

All of the ones I purchase work well.  I don't see where they are any more expensive than any other alternative.
And cleaning products work better than vinegar.  Which seems to be everybody's go to cleaning product.  Plus vinegar stinks. 

I have seen a lot of "hacks" on Pinterest.  But do not see where they are any better than Windex.

I don't use chemical cleaners. They make me sick. I use Seventh Generation products. They're plant-based and Leaping Bunny certified (no animal testing). They don't cost that much more than anything else.

I guess I don't understand buying food products that I don't normally buy to "clean", in lieu of actual cleaning products. The food will go bad before the cleaning products do. And maybe it looks clean, but does anything actually get sanitized? 

Anyway I'm not going to waste good beer on rusty tools!

Good tips, I use vinegar and dawn a lot also peroxide for a lot of stuff. I can't breathe if I use bleach.

I have used some of these especially the vinegar it really cleans and don't mind the smell as it disappears over time.  Love using when I wash walls as it doesn't streak like cleaning products.

Thanks for the tips, I had heard some of these things earlier.

I use Vinegar, Baking soda and lemon for most of the cleaning at home. I combine the Vinegar with Water and add some essential oil like lavender or Orange for the smell, it does wonders, especially on my wood floors.

 Rubbing alcohol is really good for glass and Peroxide is great for stains of all kinds.

If I knew a product was tested on animals ie let's see how squirting this cleaner in your little eyes effects you - I would def not purchase from that company.

Unfortunately, most companies still do it. I always look for a bunny logo on the product when I'm shopping. Leaping Bunny's website has a list of companies that don't test on animals. And although I don't support PETA (some of the work they do is great, but they also do some horrible things), they also have lists of companies that do or don't test.

But the good thing is the demand is there, and countries/companies are starting to come around. Australia just banned cosmetic testing. I just read that Hershey's will stop testing - and yes, they do animal testing with chocolate and it's not force feeding Hershey's Kisses to bunnies. Procter & Gamble has agreed to eliminate testing on their cosmetics, which is awesome because they have a lot of brands.

I use vinegar/water to soak my pet's bowls to get rid of the water deposits that build up... also, I put it in my glasses if they are stained by iced tea.  That's about it though.  I used to use it in my coffee pots to clean out the water deposits/coffee stains & it worked well. 

I know a person who uses vinegar & water to clean their gecko's cage & it's artificial plants that they climb all over.

Vinegar and water, I add a few drops of any essential oil you might like for smell, I clean my wood floors with it, also counters and you can even add Vinegar to your laundry is a great Softener, of course you can mix it with essential oils if you do not like the smell.  But Vinegar is great for many things, you can buy Windex with Vinegar on it for Mirrors, etc.
