I subscribe to Netflix and collect video discs (DVDs and Blu-Ray Discs), so I don’t have cable. Cable no longer has advanced enough technology for me. I just get local broadcast channels for TV networks.

Cable thru AT & T.  My husband would have a fit if we changed it.  Set in his ways and no changing him

I have Time Warner/Spectrum in a triple package deal.... home phone line, 300 speed internet, & cable with a premium package -- I'm grandfathered in with TimeWarner prices or I would think about cutting the cord.  I also have Netflix & Hulu.

I believe that cable is becoming obsolete... you can get the same programs off the internet for free.  I've watched news on free youtube in realtime.  Kids don't even watch "regular" tv, they seem to just stream youtube or netflix or HBO go, etc....

I have the Dish Network.  They tried to sneakily increase my bill.  I told them that if they didn't decrease my bill, they are to turn it off.  I got fed up for paying for channels (such as the sports channel).  So they lowered it to my liking.  I am watching to see what else they will try to pull on this consumer.

We cut all ties, except internet, about fourteen months ago. We subscribe to Netflix and get Amazon Prime. Both are easy to watch through our Amazon firestick and the remote control is super easy to use. Seemed like we had to have like twenty remotes to work our cable. About seven months ago Century link called and offered us a cable package for less than ten dollars per month which we declined. The only thing that we missed at first, was the tennis channel. We tried to get that hooked up independently but the Tennis channel requires an affiliation with a cable company. We were willing to pay seventy dollars a year but refused to go back to the greedy cable companies so we found a way around paying for cable//tennis and are happily watching all the tennis we have time for. I watch both prime and netflix on my iphone (when I have time. The net neutrality law change seems to be the  only thing keeping the cable companies afloat. Hopefully the net neutrality law gets changed back.

I only use cable; I am sure I could save money going another route. I just don't have the time to research it and such.....

I have Satellite TV, but I also use Streaming Services as well. I use Streaming Services to watch Movies that I have not seen in a long time and want to see them again.

I cut my cable off because the cost was getting so high.  I now have an antenna that lets me watch local channels and I also have Netflix.

I get over 30 local channels.  And it is free.

Since there was no other service in our area and antennas never gave us reception I had to stick with cable from 1983 on up. Went through Warner, Time Warner and Comcast. I now have Comcast/Xfinity and have had nothing but trouble since they installed Xfinity. Cable would go out once or twice a month through picture freezing, guide freezing, or other problems. The constant prices raising every 6 months finally got to me. Two years ago, the cost was going to be over $200 so I called to cancel. (I have the triple -phone, internet and TV). Well, they gave me a deal for 2 years on contract for a $55 saving. At the end of last month, I started losing phone and internet at the same time every day. Called every day and finally threatened FCC/FEC complaint. Hasn't happened since. Isn't that funny?

Anyway, my contract is up in December and I'll be gone. Since I'm so far behind this tech stuff, my kids are helping me learn and will be setting me up with "something"  else. I did check on Sling TV and they offer all but 10 the channels that we watch nightly.  So we'll see what happens.

Did you have an outdoor antenna?  The little junk things that plug in your tv gave me like 3 pbs channels and that is it.  When I put an outdoor antenna that goes in the ground and is taller than your house (the old antennas) outside my house, I get over 30 channels.

We have never had cable TV and I don't miss it one bit. I watch news programming almost exclusively along with a few entertainment shows I like that I can get over-the-air. I take all the movies I want to see out of the local library for free and watch them on DVD's and sometimes I stream shows and movies on amazon too.

I cut the cord 12+ years ago. We used netflix for a little while.  Back when they would mail discs to you and we would stream it through a wii.  When they increased there rates I gave that up to.  Just in the last month or so I purchased a used roku.  I've been binge watching shows on hulu with my daughter.  For the price I'm very happy with the options of entertainment.  Since we've only watched shows on DVD through rentals and the library there is a ton for us to choose from.
