Unfair
« on: March 01, 2019, 10:37:03 pm »
Most surveys I don't qualify for, and I've accepted that.  But what is completely unfair is being told at the beginning that I qualify, then taking the time to answer all questions, offering written opinions, etc, THEN being disqualified.  I took one that should have credited me with 60 cents, and it took me nearly an hour. There was a lot of typing involved and lots of opinions expressed in great detail. After all of that, after collecting my info and all my opinions, I was disqualified and only got one penny for all that work. This should not happen. Companies pay to have these surveys done, right? The LEAST I deserved on this one was the 60 cents, but really that one should have been a $5 one at least.

Welcome to the club. If you think of taking surveys as a job where you perform a given task and get paid on a regular basis, you will go crazy in a hurry. The truth is it's a pastime  to occupy time when you have nothing productive to do and if you are lucky can provide a few extra dollars to enjoy.

Oldbuddy said it best.  You cannot look at this as a "job", but more of a pastime.  We do not know why or how the advertisers use their algorythms to qualify or disqualify someone for a survey and yes, it is frustrating when you spend a lot of time doing a survey and are DQ'd.  Back in the day, we didn't even get a penny for trying, so that is a great improvement.  Although it can be frustrating, it really is not "unfair".

My best advice to you is do not have preconcieved notions of how much you can or should earn, be grateful for the opportunity to earn a few extra cents, because they do add up!

I now set limits on surveys.  I will not even attempt a survey that is more than 20 minutes or states it is more than 20 minutes because we know that often it ends up being longer. However, I sometimes get fooled.

Recently, I did two surveys for another site other than Fusion Cash. They were both very long like over 30 minutes. I can not remember what they supposedly paid but in both cases, there was a glitch after submitting the completed survey and I got nothing. I have had a lot of disappointments with this other site when it comes to surveys but I still get fooled. I tried opening a support ticket but got the "sorry, but ....  "

Will I ever learn?

Surveys are a hit or a miss. Everyone who has taken surveys has had experiences just like yourself. Keep in mind what I do: I no longer attempt surveys that are longer than 20 minutes and I also always note who the client is according to the address bar. If I feel burned more than one time by the client in the address bar, I won't attempt surveys by that client.

Bostonphil makes a good point.  I, too, always look at the survey company in the address bar.  There is one in particular that has constant issues with surveys locking up after 10-15 minutes -- I just save myself the frustration and don't even attempt those surveys.

I do the LiveSample Daily Survey as you normally get dq'd fairly fast and you keep trying til you get one you do qualify for... you can do two a day for 70 cents each...I normally get one a day and often get both

I've had issues with surveys on other sites (none on FC will even come up for me anymore except Peanut Labs) and I try to keep track of the info and send a support ticket, email, etc. I actually have been successful with this quite often and within a week, get credited. Take a screenshot, take note of the amount, and how much time you spent on it, and send that ticket! You just never know! If it's one here on FC, your support ticket should go to the actual market research company if at all possible. If you get the credit, FC will too!  :)
