March snow
« on: March 01, 2019, 01:32:36 pm »
Today is march 1st and we woke up to an inch of snow here in the northeast. Tomorrow we are supposed to get 3-5 inches  and more for sunday. That is the most snow we have had all winter. I am glad it will melt later this week with the warmer weather 8)

Well Winter technically does not end until March 20 when the first day of Spring comes.

People tend to think oh it is March it is suppose to be warm now.  I am not ready for hot weather.

I don't want to see anymore snow but I hope and pray it won't shut your city down.  We went to a funeral and a 6 hour trip turned into 10 hours getting back home to the beach.  We were riding behind trucks scraping the road and temps hovering in the low 30s the entire time.  It took me several days to recover.

I live in Georgia and we do not get a lot of Snow, but we have had more than I can ever remember us having. It not supposed to stop Raining any time soon either. I wish it would stop Raining. I am so tired of the Rain. I want to see some Sun Shine again. I miss the Sun Shine so much.

Ah, Winter is just starting. We got 1" on Thursday night, 2" last night, and they're calling for a possible 4-8" tomorrow night, maybe more, maybe less. Hubby is so miserable and grouchy.  Because of all the rain we got most of the winter, our wood froze together even though it's covered, and it's hard to get it apart. I feel bad for him as he has so many other things to do.

It looks like this is going to be coming from the south and I hate those because the weather people are just guessing with the snow amounts. Last time one came from the south they called for 3-5" but we got 10".

We had snow yesterday as well; not a lot and it did rain later in the day so  that helped to wash away. I heard the weather say we may get some next week again, I hope not!! I am ready for spring. :)

It is starting to get a little warmer. Winter won't be lasting much longer.

So sorry for you all up there.  When I lived in Pa. up on top of a hill, had to walk down that hill every day to dig car out of the snow drifts that the snow ploughs left.  So glad to be here in Florida but my family and friends in Pa.  still suffer it.

We've had around 32 inches of snow in February alone. We're supposed to get a blizzard this weekend, possibly another foot of snow. There's nowhere to plow it, roads are shrinking. There are literal mountains of snow surrounding parking lots. It's ridiculous. I'm afraid it will warm up too fast in the spring and we'll have flash flooding.

Next week it is supposed to start getting nice again. Not springtime just yet, but at least it is supposed to get into the 40's, which is seasonable. I am still not going outside unless I have to these days because it is so cold (14 degrees) out. I can't wait to get back to exercising on a normal schedule by jogging in the road.
