Usually depends what I  doing. If I am doing math I would prefer a pencil. Otherwise I use a pen.

Pens are my choice not pencils but do like the ability to erase things. I only use pens to pay bills .

Lol. Just clicked the topic to see how many people would mock the person's misspelling of the word 'Pencil'. Seriously folks, chill. We all put our pants on one leg at a time.

MY MY....with all the brains here no one knows what pincle means?

It means its another word for pencil when others look to put a spell on you and pronounce sentence.

Mocking a person for their spelling is hateful, and says more about you than it does about them.

From the replies, most of us understood the question as written.

I use both pencils and pens.  I like pens better for most writing.

Paints look up.That post of mine mocks the brainless who think they have brains.

The person who spelled Pattern instead of Patton defended him.I had to use humor there in that post.

Friends?

Understood.

It does make me wonder though, how many people have quit posting on these boards because of being mocked or belittled?
I've noticed several missing lately.

Something to think about...

I prefer pencils because you can erase them but lately I've found myself writing more with a pen because the ink is way darker and doesn't smear and get all over your hands the way a pencil does.  And those erasable pens are just awful and never erase fully like a pencil.

lol.  And making comments directed at others for their post, whether you mention by name or not because of their post, is just as bad.  And several have said the same thing.

I do not sit and try to figure out what people are "trying to say".  Spelling on a computer is beyond super easy.  It underlines the words that are spelling wrong in RED.

And I did not mock anyone  I simply asked a question.  What is a pencle.  Who knows.  Never heard of that before.

lol I am not the only one who has made comments on people spelling words incorrectly.  Yes, I knew the jab was directed at me.  I really do not care.  Like I and others have said, it UNDERLINES the words in RED when they are spelled incorrectly.  Someone else pointed that out as well.  Actually there have been 3-4 who have said something along the same lines.

All I did was asked what is a pencle.  For all I know it is some new kind of ink pen like the gel pens.  If you want people to know what you are talking about then you need to spell your words correctly.  Otherwise you cannot get upset when someone asks what you are talking about.  Heck there is even this nifty thing known as "EDIT" where you can fix mistakes if you notice them after you post something.

In fairness, the red underline doesn't always work/isn't always available. I know I've been the object of ridicule on this very forum for getting something misspelled because the 'red line' failed me. It happens.
