It was dynamic, inspiring and spot on for the issues in our country. I'm so proud of our new president. I very much like that he says what he means, and means what he says.

The honor he gave to the people in the audience who were everyday "heroes" was marvelous.  :star: I think he had everybody standing by then.

Plus he was promoting solidarity between the parties instead of bipartisanship on every topic.  :highfive:

Wish I had a MAG hat.

I watched it. Bleh. Not a Trump fan here. Can't stand his politics or his personality. Agree to disagree with Trump supporters on the board, but I can't believe anyone liked that speech? I actually felt more down about the state of the country after the speech than before it.

I wasn't going to watch it but after hearing the "good and the bad" from different politicians and opinion bloggers, I decided to watch it. I thought it was pretty good but thought Pelosi and Schumer were the most ignorant of all of them.  To think that the women in white were protesting Trump especially when he stated he wanted Congress to work on  the live abortion bill to stop states from abortion at birth like NY and VA have implemented. I also don't think AOC really knew what was going on. She seemed to ask questions from the person beside her a lot. It was the first time I heard about some of the other things he and the administration is working on besides the wall. Impressive!

MSNBC and CNN trashed him as usual. They couldn't even tell their audiences the whole sentences of some subjects. No wonder people hate so much!

And I can't believe anybody didn't.  If Obama had said the exact same thing I think you would have been all for it.  Any fyi most of the stuff he said, obama and clinton were both for when they were in office.   He did not say anything negative at all.  This country is too full of hate.  If the same speech had been made by that old hag sitting behind him I think you would have been in agreement.  It is all about who said it.  That hate is what is destroying this country.  When he said he was for PAID LEAVE for  NEW PARENTS the democrats in the solidarity white (LOL) sat there with sullen looks of their faces.

If this hate is about the border (whatever you want to call it as he said last night) every single democrat that is fighting with him about this has said in the past we need a border wall, fence, barrier, whatever you want to call it.  We cannot allow millions of people to just walk in to our country. Nobody is saying stop all immigration. Just come thru the legal way.

I have not talked to many people but ALL of the people I have heard say anything about his speech liked what he said.  He was trying to unite the two parties.  He even said that last night.  The two parties need to meet.  MEET.  Not the Republicans give in and let the democrats have it all their way.  The democrats have said they will not agree to anything Trump wants to do.  They have said they will vote against anything and everything he proposes.

Not trying to fight.  I just do not understand how you can hate him so bad and be against everything he is trying to do when the democrats, the ones you support, have wanted to do the exact same thing.  They are only against it now because Trump is for it.

I agree.  I don't think any president in the past has honored people like that.  I liked when they sang Happy Birthday to the one dude.  That was awesome.

i fully agree with you, countrygirl12. That's part of the problem. They don't like personality so they won't try to like anything he does and that's sad.  I'm not crazy about the way he speaks but it comes from his heart. He's very outspoken and no polished politician.  I also wish he'd stay off Twitter or just stick to a subject and not get into arguments with trash people like Griffin, Behar, etc.

That is because the idiots in white want women to be able to choose to kill their children.  What gets me is when he was saying he wanted to make it so companies are FORCED to pay new parents for so much time off to bond with their children and they sat there with sullen lemon sucking faces.  I figured they would cheer overboard for that.  And if obama had said it - they would have.  It is all about WHO is saying it.

You cannot get facts about Trump from CNN.  I did not watch anything after his speech was over.  Certainly am not going to watch a liberal biased channel tell me what he said.  Uh, I just heard it myself.  I don't think he jabber mouth was asking questions about what he said.  I think she was either trash talking or just plain stupid.
We have no way of knowing what she was saying but that was my thoughts when she was doing it.

You are right - this country is so full of hate.  And that hate is ultimately going to destroy us.
