Not only watching what you purchase at the store, now you have to ask at restaurants, "Where does this food come from please"  !!!

Full List of egg products can be found here:

or

https://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/almark-foods-recalls-hard-cooked-egg-products-pails-due-possible-listeria-monocytogenes

(These are Large 20-25lb Buckets of eggs like a restaurant or Food Truck might use for salads, egg salad or garnish
there are many name brands on this recall, and are listed on this link and may help identify them in restaurants across the eleven {11} state recall  )   >:( >:( >:(

On December 18, 2019 the firm was notified by FDA that Almark Foods' Hard-Boiled and Peeled Eggs in pails produced at its Gainesville, Georgia facility may be associated with a Listeria monocytogenes foodborne illness investigation, which remains ongoing.  Out of an abundance of caution, Almark Foods is voluntarily recalling all Hard-Cooked and Peeled Eggs in Pails produced at its Gainesville, Georgia facility that remain within expiry.  The Company has suspended production of the recalled egg products in pails at its Gainesville facility to further investigate the issue.

The products were distributed to food service companies in (Ga, Ca, Ms, NC, Pa, Tn, Ia, Mo, Al, Fl, Az). These products were packaged in 20, 23, and 25 pound plastic pails and sold primarily to further processing plants of egg products and restaurant chain suppliers.  Other products produced by Almark are not affected by this recall.

Let's add school food products to our watch list!!

WASHINGTON, Dec. 20, 2019 - Advance Pierre Foods, a Cincinnati, Ohio establishment, is recalling approximately 15,739 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) beef patty products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically small, green soft plastic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

These items were shipped to a single distribution location in Iowa,  which then distributed the product to institutions, including schools.

The frozen, RTE beef patty items were produced on Sept. 11, 2019. The following products are subject to recall:

15.09 lb. frozen, bulk-packed cases
While the product was distributed to schools, it resulted from a commercial sale and was not part of the food provided by the USDA for the National School Lunch Program. The product was not sold in retail stores

Thanks for the update. I agree with another who said taking it back to the store and getting a refund. That is what I would do too! Need to watch where the money goes. These days there are too many of these recalls as well.

Must check this out, alot of products that just have eggs in them are being recalled, noodles, salads etc!!
Very scary!

https://www.emergencyemail.org/newsemergency/anmviewer.asp?a=20205&z=63

Almark Foods initiated a recall and is an ingredient supplier to one of Great American Deli's suppliers, Knott's Fine Foods that provides egg salad to the company.  (See earlier post on this supplier)

More egg products recalled, possible health risk

Reichel Foods Inc. is voluntarily recalling Pro2Snax to the Max Sliced Apples, Hard Boiled Egg, Mild Cheddar Cheese, Cashews & Dried Cranberries and Pro2Snax to the Max Sweet Gala Apples, Hard Boiled Egg, White Cheddar Cheese, Almonds & Dried Cranberries. The product affected by this recall will have a "Best if Used By" date up to and including 01/26/20. These items were distributed to retailers nationwide.

Veggie Noodle Co., LLC is voluntarily recalling its Cece's Veggie Co. brand Fresh Veggie Ramen with Chicken Broth (11.5 oz, UPC 5228700653), all expiration dates, sold at retail stores nationally, because the separately packaged egg ( branded Peckish) that is included in the product has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. No other Cece's brand products are subject to this recall. Veggie Noodle is issuing this voluntary recall out of an abundance of caution, due to a recall by a provider of the eggs, Almark Foods, used in the product.

Great American Deli of Ooltewah, Tennessee is recalling GAD #114 Egg Salad Sandwich 4.8 oz. UPC: 7-41431-00114-2 due to possible contamination of Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women. To date, we have not received any reports of illness related to the consumption of Egg Salad Sandwiches.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - General Motors Co <GM.N> said on Thursday it is issuing recalls for more than 900,000 vehicles worldwide in two separate campaigns to address brake software issues and fire risks.

The largest U.S. automaker is recalling more than 550,000 2019 light-duty Chevrolet Silverado 1500 , Cadillac CT6 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles due to a potential software glitch that could disable vehicle brake systems and notifications.

The error, which GM said was rare, may result in the vehicle's electronic stability control or anti-lock brake system becoming disabled. GM said the vehicle's diagnostic system will not illuminate the instrument cluster alert. Dealers will reflash the software to address the issue.

GM is also recalling more than 400,000 2019-2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks because battery positive cable rings may have been manufactured with excessive glue, potentially resulting in a fire risk or stalling.

GM dealers will inspect vehicles for glue or other contamination and replace damaged components if necessary.

One fire has been reported and no injuries linked to the campaign. Some vehicles are covered by both recalls. The recall was prompted by a report of a stall by a GM employee in Canada.

I haven’t been but there always seems to be new recalls.
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

I have had some car recall stuff for my car.  They fix it for free.  Otherwise, I haven't had any to deal with.

 · Safety/Recall · Contact Us · Update Ownership Information ollowing two December recalls for several hybrid, SUV, and car models over safety concerns, Toyota (TM) is recalling nearly 700,000 vehicles for a fuel pump problem.

If the vehicle stalls when driving at high speeds, it could increase the risk of a crash, the automaker said.

The recall affects certain 2018 to 2019 Lexus LS 500, LC 500, RC 350, RC 300, GS 350, IS 300, ES 350, LX 570, GX 460, and RX 350 vehicles, as well as certain 2019 Lexus NX 300, RX 350L, and GS 300 models – all sold in the U.S.

The recall also includes certain 2018 to 2019 Toyota 4Runner, Camry, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma, and Tundra models, as well as certain 2019 Toyota Avalon and Corolla vehicles – all sold in the U.S.

According to Toyota, the issue involves a fuel pump that may stop operating, causing warning lights and messages to appear on the dash display. In addition, the engine may “run rough,” resulting in a stalled or inoperable vehicle.

I was just going to  say I think there is a place that lists all recalls.  Even the ones that don't hit the news.  Thanks for posting this.

Is is just me or does anyone else think that it would be so much easier to just list of all the products that are safe?  From the looks of it this should not be a very long list at all.   ::)

This mess give a whole new meaning to the menu item 'Meatloaf Surprise' , 'Tuna Casserole Surprise', 'Meatball Surprise'.

Those dish names were probably fun once upon a time. Right now, any surprises in food items are not fun at all.   :bad:
