The Subcommittee on Economic and Consumer Policy had requested test results from 7 companies

Popular baby foods contain toxic heavy metals ...
https://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/popular-baby-foods-contain-toxic-heavy-metals-congressional-report-finds
1 hour ago · The committee on Nov. 6, 2019, requested internal documents and test results from seven of the largest manufacturers of baby food in the US after reports alleging high levels of toxic metals…

Leading baby food manufacturers knowingly sold products with high levels of toxic metals, a congressional investigation found By Sandee LaMotte, CNN Updated 3:43 PM ET, Thu February 4, 2021

The seven companies were:

Nurture, which sells Happy Family Organics, including products under the name HappyBABY.
Beech-Nut.
Hain, which sells baby foods under the brand name Earth’s Best Organic.
Gerber.
Campbell, which sells baby foods under the brand name Plum Organics.
Walmart, which sells baby foods through its private brand Parent’s Choice.
Sprout Organic Foods.
Four of the companies — Nurture, Beech-Nut, Hain and Gerber — responded to the Subcommittee’s requests.

Walmart, Campbell and Sprout Organic Foods refused to cooperate with the probe.

"The Subcommittee is greatly concerned that their lack of cooperation might be obscuring the presence of even higher levels of toxic heavy metals in their baby food products than their competitors’ products," the report said.

https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/ford-loses-track-dangerous-air-bags-forcing-recalls-75983031

Ford loses track of dangerous air bags, forcing 2 recalls

Ford has lost track of some older Takata air bags that can explode and hurl shrapnel, so it’s recalling more than 154,000 vehicles in North America

A statement on Ford's website identified one recall affecting roughly 153,000 Ford Rangers from model years 2004 to 2011 due to the company's inability to find 45 faulty air bag systems that may have mistakenly been installed in Ranger pickups. It wasn't clear what dangers, if any, those air bag systems could pose to consumers.

A second recall identified on Ford's website involved far fewer vehicles, roughly 1,000, but was due to problems with Takata air bag inflation systems that pose a risk of "serious injury or death" should the device malfunction when the air bag deploys. That recall affects vehicles across a number of product lines including Ford's Ranger, Mustang, Fusion, Edge and other vehicles.

Thanks for the warning. Yeah they just casually say to throw it away. Going back to the store is a hassle but I paid good money for it that I want back.

Product Type: Food & Beverages
Reason for Announcement: Compromised hermetic seal/Microbial growth

I was signed up with the FDA's recall site but haven't received a recall email in ages. I am also on a recall list for pet foods. The pet foods aren't as common as human foods. I find that strange, don't you?

Beechnut just recalled rice cereal because it may contain arsenic.  Why???  We use the oatmeal for our grandson and I wonder what's in that.
