Tattle Tales
« on: January 28, 2019, 01:05:23 pm »
When I was a very young kid and when I have dealt with young kids (I am talking like 5 years old) they tell on each other constantly....

I have noticed that these days adults are worse than kids.  SMH  She done this.  He done that.  I don't get it.  Somehow I thought when people reached adult hood that they would act like an adult.

unfortunately many adults are worse then kids. The younger generation is very self centered and they want immediate gratification. i think tattling is a way for them( they think) to get what they want :rainbow: :peace:

young children learn it  from the older children who have learned from their parents. I have several  at the  mission where I  work who  just seem to not be able to quite being tattle tales. Like I have told them they are going to have to learn to work with each other.  I swear at least 3 times a  day one or the other is running to . I won't   take sides.  If I should see something being done wrong then yes  I will say something.

I agree. Some things never change and some people never grow up.

:)     ;D      :)  The most I do hear is during work hours about somebody did this or that, just to make sure that the job gets done correctly. Most of the family tends to let others know what family members tend to be doing at a certain time. I don't think this would be tattling but more like informing.  :)     ;D     :)

I worked with a tattle tale who tried to be sneaky about it. She always exaggerated stories also which made things bad for everyone.

For some reason people think they'll get a leg up by putting someone else down.  You just hope the boss know how that person is.

I think it depends on the situation where telling the truth can uphold justice.

EX.Joe Paterno not tattling on Sandusky. He had a chance to bring a monster to justice and worried more about his football and image. It probably contributed to his death.

But then there are wrong instances of tattling.Judas tattled on who Jesus was.But it was for the wrong reason. The guilt from it made him commit suicide even tho his sin was more serious sinning against the holy spirit where there is NO forgivness.

Speaking the truth in a JUST way is acceptable in Gods eyes.Using discernment when that is must be applied.

I think of the ending to one of my favorite TV shows...The Fugitive.A next door neighbor of the fugitive saw his wife being murdered and was a coward to help her and didnt wanna ruin his image. The wrong man was convicted and yrs went by before the truth surfaced.

Speaking the truth sometimes can hurt us in this case make us see we were a coward, but how do we live with ourselves to see it might cost an innocent their life.

I am talking about being a tattle tale.  As for at work if it is not your job then mind your own business.  But here is an example....

If you work on a job where you do not clock in and out but go to lunch and you just turn your time in and write down how long you took and you have one that is running to the boss saying she/he took 3 extra minutes on break or whatever. smh.  I am thinking if you are doing your job and worrying about you then you should not know what anyone else is doing.

Another example...

Say you have a red light at the corner of a street and a car cuts thru the parking lot of a grocery store, also on the corner, to avoid sitting at the red light, and some helpful busy body gets the tag number and calls the police and tells on them. Just stupid stuff trying to get somebody in trouble.

I am not referring to reporting theft from the company or something like that.  I am talking about adults who act like 5 year olds.

I think usually the "boss" likes it.  Idk.  I use to work with 2 women who mostly told on each other but anything anybody else done in the entire facility they would tell on them.  Sometimes just being a tattle tale and sometimes they tried to be more of just talking casual and say something they know will get someone else in trouble.

I don't know for sure but mostly I don't think the boss cared.  As long as it was kept in his department he could basically ignore them.  Patronize them.  Listen and make each one think he was on their side. lol

Sad but true usually these days there are incentives to turn in your fellow man or women for this or that. Hate people who promote that its kinda sickening

You do realize that people get older but they may not necessarily become wiser.  It happens to a lot of people just by them opening their mouths.  Sad but true.
