Here in So. Cal. the weather forecast can say it's going to rain, but where I live it usually always falls out near the mountains and is gone by the time the clouds get to us. Although, it was an unusually wet winter here.

I'll have to check out the PTC weather and see how accurate it is here. I don't usually pay attention to what it says.

That is not what he is talking about.  Get on your smart phone if you have one and download the weather channels weather app.

Its uncanny to me when my phone app gives me an announcement that "rain will begin at 0:00" and it usually does!.  Love it!!

I was doing the PTC, and one of the four pages I visited was Weather.
I noticed it had a forecast at the bottom that said "Rain starting in 73 minutes."

73 minutes later, it's raining...

If you get the weather channel app it does that. You get notifications saying rain will begin at such and such a time. Most of the time it is right on.  It isn't as scary as people want to get freaked out about. They have radar and can see how fast it is moving and the direction.  They have your location if that is enabled on your phone and can see when the system will be at your location.

I'm not freaking about it.  It just surprised me, that it was so exact on the timing.

They have radar so it is pretty exact.  It is kind of neat.  And scary at the same time. lol

I had the weather channel app on my desktop a few years ago.  It made a sound when there was an alert.
I uninstalled it after it alerted about thunderstorms on the way by making thunder noises.
Talk about freaking out!  My speakers were on, and it was really loud!

I think it's funny someone actually got it right.  I live in VA and use WUSA9 app.  I remember both the radar and the forecast claimed there was no rain in site but when I stepped outside my front door there was terrestrial rain.  Go figure.
