I can't even bring myself to care about an increase. I've had Netflix for 15 years and it's still incredibly inexpensive entertainment. If your life is unraveling over a few bucks a month, you've got bigger problems.

We used to have cable, use Netflix from someone else's account.

I finally decided to get Netflix and I'm so glad I did.  I love the endless choices of shows and movies.  I'll gladly pay the increase.

I had Netflix many years ago when I got a month free, but never paid for it after that. If I could conect my computer to my tv I would probably get it again, but its too much stress on my eyes trying to watch a movie on small screen
There are several solutions like Chromecast and Miracast that can show your computer or phone screen on your TV

Or you can get a Roku for your TV and won't need to use the computer.
Roku doesn't have a web browser, so there are some things you can't show.

I just meant for watching Netflix.

I have straight cable.  Honestly I think if you start adding up all the 'alternative to cable' options, you wind up paying more than a basic package from a cable company.  But with Netfilx rates going up, they might find they will loose customers rather than keep them.

Knew it was a matter of time before that was going to happen.  Can't remember which one but Netflix did it becuase another one was raising theirs.

You could see this coming when Netflix paid $100 million for Friends.

Seen it heard about it.. not really worried.. IT's still far less than your cable bill and even then you can watch commercial free and binge watch and all in the comfort of your home.. haven't seen the increase on my bill yet either..

Netflix has changed our viewing habits!  We watch more Netflix than satellite TV these days, and along with Amazon Prime Video, we never run out of entertaining shows.  I can't remember where I saw this, but I thought I saw that Netflix was having a DEcrease in price.  I thought how weird that was, at the time, to see a company actually reducing its prices! I guess time will tell which way it goes.

Are you thinking of Hulu? I read that Hulu is reducing their basic plan by $2 to $5.99.I'm tempted, but it has commercials. Ugh.

I have cut all cable because the commercials are depressing.

Even with the increase I think they are still a good value for the money.

I've had Netflix for ages and I cut the cord years ago. There's plenty on Netflix to watch and I have an over the air antenna to pick up network TV, when there's something to watch on there. Even with the rate increase, I think it's still the least expensive of the choices out there for TV (at least where I live).
