This is so stupid.  They keep adding words to it.  Super Blood Wolf Moon?  Really?  lol  I think it is going to be cloudy here too.  We have had the blood moons several times and I never could tell a difference.  And it is nothing to get freaked about.  The moon is NOT turning to blood.  It has a orange tint because of the sun.

Some news person was making a joke about it and saying it would soon have 10 words in it to describe it. lol

I went outside in the front yard and looked straight up in the sky!  The sky was clear and you could see the stars.  The moon was red, but sorta darkish.  No disappointment other than being farther away than it was when it was seen rising.  Pretty cool!

We had a great view, clouds did block a few times, but were able to see all the color changes.  The name Wolf Moon comes from the Native Americans, January is the month they howl at the moon because of their shortage of food (wolfs).  Super Moon is because it is so close in the rotation cycle to earth and so it looks bigger and brighter.  Blood because the sunlight is only partially coming through so it appears the color of a sunrise or sunset (reds, gold, orange, yellow).

It was COLD where I live.  It was not cloudy so I guess I could have seen it. I saw a thing on the news app that said it was going to be viewable from about 10:30 until 2:45 or something like that.  I was NOT going outside in close to single digit temps to look at the moon.  Like someone already said, there will be pictures online.  I am sure the local news stations will have pictures.

I would love to enjoy such things    but I go to bed too early and my husband isn't interested.  Therefore I just enjoy it on the news. :confused1:

I stepped out to look at it for a minute, it was kind of cool! Not super red but very dim and sort of freaky looking. There were clouds but I did get a decent look.
