I am trying to think of the name of a movie and I do not have a lot to go on. It is about this boy and he has something wrong some kind of disease and his face is sort of deformed and his head is big. And a girl who befriends him. I am thinking he may die in the end but he may not.

Does anybody know what I am talking about?

I googled MASK and that is it.  Thank you! I don't know why but I was thinking about that movie and wanted to watch it again. I think I was just thinking about a situation I am familiar with right now where a person is majorly judged by the way they look.  And it has something to do with a disease they were born with and cannot help. So then I started thinking of the boy in this movie.  I am going to try to find it somewhere.

EXCELLENT movie. Based on a true story as well.

I loved Cher in this, but my favorite movie she was in is Moonstruck.

But Mask is a close 2nd or 3rd.

I do not remember a lot about it. I don't even know why I thought of it. Somebody was making fun of the way someone looks due to a disease they have and I thought of this boy. Didn't he have something in real life or did they use masks and make up to make him look like he did in the movie?

Anyway, I thought of him and I would like to find the movie. IDK if I can find it online somewhere or not.

I just watched Mask not too long ago. I am glad you where able to figure it out. That happens to me all the time. I am always trying to remember a movie.

Happy that you were able to figure out it was the movie Mask.  It's one of my favorite Cher movie and I didn't realize that it was released on March 8, 1985. I never get tired of watching it. The first time I saw it I cried thinking about that young man having to deal with his facial deformity.

It's called Elephant Boy, with Cher as his mother.
