That (unfortunately) will never happen. Quite literally -- too much politics involved in the process of hiring and firing. Brenda Snipes' job security is probably one of the highest in the country. How is it that the Florida panhandle counties - absolutely decimated by the hurricane just a month before the elections have more on the ball than Broward? smh  >:(

Snipes has been in trouble before for underhanded tactics. She hasn't been fired because I think she was elected and because I'm sure people would call it a racist move. GA and AZ are having the same argument. All of a sudden lots of ballots are found even though the election was over almost a week ago. What to do is a problem. Some one suggested they take these "provisional" and/or "absentee ballots" and count them  as soon as they come in, and then the day of the voting, count those at the polls. At the end of the day, they'd have their count and any ballots that come in "after that" would not be counted. This could go on forever.

I think someone from another state who has no connections with anyone there should be brought in for a recount and  find all of the illegal votes and throw them out.

Florida has had issues before. They need to use voting machines and that is the only way to vote. And you should have to show an official ID card. And the results are the results and if you or your candidate lost then suck it up butter cup - this ain't grade school where everybody gets a trophy.

To vote in person in Florida one DOES have to show an ID card. If they're voting early at a location that isn't their precinct polling place, you must also show your voter registration card.

I live in Florida, and am thoroughly disgusted and fed up with the "problem" of Broward Co.. I was actually shocked to discover the Supervisor of Elections there was the same one from the last debacle in 2001. WHO would vote that person back in?  ???

This is not a third world country! This shameful voting scenario in the Miami and Broward counties should not be happening. It's not rocket science and they need to take pride in their work, show ethics and definitely be held accountable when these criterion are not upheld.

They need to fire all those in charge of this embarrassing disaster.

We will probably never know the truth.  Anything said that sounds "negative" will be branded "racist", when it is not at all.

Seems like Florida has a problem with every election and has to do some type of recount.  You would think in this day and age with all the electronic solutions there were never be a problem that required a manual recount.

I am not familiar with which states make you show ID and which ones do not. I know my state does. A lot of them do not. I can see your frustration though.

I don't understand the logic behind not showing an ID to vote... Seems to me it causes situations like the one we're experiencing here.

I know some woman tried to vote without proper ID or even proof of registration while I was at my polling station on election day. She was getting angry at the poll workers for her own negligence.  ::)

Why is it always Florida and do they not use electronic voting machines? If not why not? It is ridiculous.

This is the worst voting in all of these years, never had this much trouble with voting before this new Prez. got in office, he made sure Kemp got what he wanted.

What's the deal with Florida ballots? Seems like there's some kind of recount stink over there in every election.
