It depends of how old the illness is.All the above and some cabbage leaves applied on your joints or where the pain is.

I use gold paste and it doesn't help everything but, it does seem to help my hands a lot.  When I was traveling, one year, I didn't take it and couldn't figure out why my hands hurt so much.  Then I remembered, I hadn't taken my gold paste for a while.  Does make a big difference.  I have read that some people get relief from CBD oils also.  I haven't tried that yet, because they are so expensive.

My daily arthritis "go to" is sixteen almonds.  I eat sixteen almonds every day and I believe it helps.  The best thing I've found for chronic pain is EFT (emotional freedom technique).  Look up Nick and/or Jessica Ortner.  EFT is a self help tool where you tap on various acupuncture points on your body. You can easily teach yourself the technique and it's free!  I tap every day and it has worked wonders for me.  You can tap on pain or any other issue in your life to get rid of it completely or even just get some relief.  My other best tool for pain relief comes under the energy medicine category. (Look up Donna Eden).  You can use energy medicine to tap on different points on your body's meridians, the ones associated with the pain you are feeling, and it can be unbelievable how well this works!  Hope this gives you some ideas.  I don't know what I'd do without EFT and my daily energy medicine exercise routine.

We use glucosamine chondroitin to help with arthritis pain. It really helps a lot. We used to give it to our dogs when they were old and had arthritis. They had a hard time walking without it.

I can't speak from personal experience, but I know that my mom, who has arthritis especially in her hips, feels much better when drinking lots of water and exercising. I'm sure it's painful to exercise at first, but the more you do it, the better you will feel. Baby steps. You don't have to exercise all at once. Just moving for a few minutes every hour is better then nothing at all.

Also I gave my dog glucosamine/chondroitin supplements from the time he was 3 years old until we had to say goodbye at 12-1/2 years old, which according to the vet was the oldest Newfy she had ever seen. Those things were magic. If I ran out and he missed a few days, you could immediately see the difference in his mobility.

I hope you find something that works for you!

I've been taking Boswellia, Turmeric/Curcumin, and Fish oil supplements for bursitis in both shoulders and it has helped a lot.
