Thought I'd lost my wallet
« on: November 06, 2018, 07:29:32 am »
Whew I had a scare thinking since yesterday that I lost my wallet.  Today I calmed down and reached way under the car seats and found it.  No cash in it anyway but drivers license credit cards and a book of checks.  I was getting really freaked out.  Have you ever mislaid something and then thankfully found it?

Whew, I know how that feels!  Years ago I left my purse in my grocery cart and drove away.  I had a lot of groceries to load and it was a horrendous wintery day.  Snowing and wind blowing!  All I could think of was to get in the car and get home.
Luckily, there was an honest person!  I called about 20 minutes later and the store reported that a purse had just been turned in.  Not only that, everything had not been touched.  Can you believe it?  There are trustworthy people who do the right thing!  Remember that in today's world!

Just last week I left my cell phone (which is also my wallet with my DL and three debit cards) in the top rack of the shopping cart at the grocery store about five miles from my house. I left it in the cart return stall in the parking lot. I couldn't find it when I got home and immediately knew where I'd left it (checked on my wife's phone to be sure because we both use the Life360 app to keep track of each other).  So I drove back to get it and there were two other shopping carts pushed in line into the one still carrying my phone.

I did and was glad i came across it, not a good feeling, knowing you had something and then, its gone, calming down and retracing your steps helps.

So glad you found it. it's a scary thing to lose it.  I would hate to lose the money, but more importantly all the cards (drivers license, debut card, credit cards, insurance cards, etc). That's a pain to have to call everyone to replace them.  Happy you found yours.

I left my money at the checkout counter and left without picking it up. I had just gotten paid too. Luckily, there was a good person whom was the cashier and she took it to lost and found and the money was all there. Boy was I relieved.

Glad you were able to find your wallet.  It would have been such a pain to have to replace all your credit cards and your driver's license.

One of our guys at work thought he had lost his wallet.  I helped him get all of his licenses and certification replaced.  About a week after getting it all replaced, he found it under one of the truck seats.
Have a wonderful day!

Yes, but most time when I can calm myself down and re-trace my steps I find what I misplaced; I find if I am over anxious, I cannot think clearly and then I just go around in circles! Happy you found your wallet, that would have anyone upset.

My husband lost his phone once and we just couldn't find it anywhere. After a while, it got really scary. We called it and everything but couldn't hear it ring. We knew it had to be around the house somewhere because he remembered using it last at home and we hadn't been anywhere since. We both searched for literally 8 house and found it outside. He had dropped in in the flower garden while walking by.

I'm so happy for you that you found your wallet.  That's a stress that nobody needs.  I don't recall misplacing wallets, credit cards or anything of that sort.  If I ever did, I blocked the scary memory right out of my mind because I don't remember a time when that ever happened.

Speaking of my mind; there was the time when I lost my mind and was ever so happy when I finally got it back.   :silly:
