I accidently flushed a wash rag down the toilet which stopped it up. I thought that I would never get that toilet unstopped.

How did you get it unclogged?

That was an expensive bill, I don't have things that can be easily dropped in the toilet, everything is large containers, comet, windex, hand cleaners, nothing small.

Many years ago I accidentally dropped a wash rag in the toilet as it was flushing.

Me too!  And it was long ago.  It was thin and full of holes and I used it to clean.  I thought, "Boy! I'm going to have a problem, but I'm going to wait until it seems to flush more slowly or not at all and just watch closely!"  So, long story short--I never had a problem!  Go figure!!

No I never have flushed anything but if I do my hubby can take care of the problem because he's a great handyman and saves us lots of money.  Sometime the water drains slowly in the sinks and he takes them apart and cleans out the hair and gunk.

When I clean the bathroom, I use a bucket and cleaning rags.
When I'm done, I empty the bucket in the toilet, and flush.
I've flushed the cleaning rags, at least once.
Didn't clog anything up, though.

My grand daughter dropped her cell phone in there.

Fortunately, it did not flush.

Either way it cost money, her mom had to pay for another one.  Since it is used for security to make sure the kids are home safe, it had to be purchased quickly.

I have never dropped anything in there when it was flushing.  I did drop my phone in the toilet one time in college.  That wasn't a fun one.

I personally have not flushed anything but when my boys were younger they always seemed to want to flush their toys.  Not sure why but thank goodness my husband is a stationary engineer and plumbing is part of his job so never had to pay anyone to repair it
