Toilet
« on: November 01, 2018, 06:15:37 am »
Have you ever accidently flushed something down the toilet?....the other day my facial wash flew into the toilet as it was flushing. We needed to call the Drain Doctor and it cost us 180.00 to fix the toilet. I will NEVER leave things on my sink now :(

I can't think of anything that I've accidentally flushed down the toilet.  Your repair call was expensive!

The toilet is literally right next to my sink that I keep a tube of my facial wash on. I flushed the toilet and went to wash my hands when I knocked the tube in the toilet while it was flushing, I couldn't catch it on time UGH. When I called a plumber they directed me to the Drain Doctor. When I called them I told the guy what happened and he started laughing his butt off LOL...I felt so stupid and asked him has anyone else dropped things in the toilet and he said that they had to fetch toys/rings/and cell phones...I was so upset he said it was an accident, and accidents happen, but an expensive one....he came in with the snake and managed to retrieve the cap but had to take the toilet up and the tube was not there so we think it went through....anyways the toilet works great now LOL

Its good you got it fixed. its also bad that these companies rob you blind. I had a problem back in 2002 with my plumbing and a national  company charged me 350.00 to unclog a drain :peace:

No, I have never done so; I try to keep it close when I am in the bathroom putting on make up, brushing teeth etc to  avoid accidents, yours was an expensive fix so I will be even more careful; plumbers do not come cheap.

I have to keep the lid closed or the cat will drink out of it. But it wouldn't matter anyway because we have a low flow toilet in our apartment, not by choice. It's terrible! You're not saving any water when you have to flush 3-5 times to get 4 squares of toilet paper to go down.

Oh I am so sorry this happened to you that is a wad of cash.  I know people who have dropped their phones in the toilet but that is about it.  Again so sorry this happened to you.

Many years ago I accidentally dropped a wash rag in the toilet as it was flushing.

Puts a whole new meaning to seeing your money go down the toilet.

I never did but my daughter accidentally dropped her son's binky (pacifier) as the toilet was flushing and to make it worse he saw it flush.

I accidently flushed a wash rag down the toilet which stopped it up. I thought that I would never get that toilet unstopped.
