Bohemian Rhapsody

Anyone going to check out Bohemian Rhapsody, AKA the Queen/Freddie Mercury story? Looks pretty good. I really like Queen, but I might just wait for this one to come to cable or netflix.

I would be interested in seeing it, but not enough to pay for theater tickets. For me this is one best left to the DVD rental store in a year or two.

I am very excited to see Bohemian Rhapsody. Freddy Mercury was an innovator, visionary and genius. He brought some of the best, most entertaining, music to us and inspired so much of today's rock and roll concerts. The young lad cast as Freddy Mercury looks to be perfect physical match and I understand he will be singing several of the songs. So much was left as unknown about Freddy Mercury in large, I believe, because he was gay at a time when there was no tolerance for homosexuality. This being said I will, most likely, see it at a Sunday morning Matinee because I am cheaper than the day is long (tickets are less than five dollars) and hate going to a crowded theater (Sunday morning theaters are empty). I also want to see "A beautiful son". book was great and, if done right, should be up for an Oscar (I don' think Bohemian Rhapsody will be nominated).

I am looking forward to seeing this one when it comes out! My daughter wants to go for her birthday, so we will likely be going in a few weeks.

This post made me play some Queen on Spotify. I hadn't heard of the movie until now. I'll probably watch it eventually.

When I was a teen, one of my friends made me rent a video of one of Queen's live performances. She was in LOVE with Freddie Mercury. I was like, "You know he was gay, right?" She didn't care. LOL

at first I thought it is a different language movie. Like a Bollywood before reading the description. I want to watch looks different. Need to check the ratings to decide whether to take kids or not.

I Googled Bohemian Rhapsody just to listen to it while I answer this post.   It certainly has a catchy tune and beat.  I don't understand it, but have always enjoyed it.

I didn't know there was a movie coming out.  I won't go to the theater, but will wait for it to come out on Netflix.
