Sears was great in the day with craftsman products, but they haven't changed with the time except with their products being made in China.

It has been years since I last stepped foot into Sears. However, it is sad to see another staple of my childhood eventually go out of business. I felt the same way when I learned that Toys R' Us went out of business. WAH!

I am very sad to hear that Sears was going out to business. I always loved that store.

Too many businesses are closing these days because of a lot of factors. Low sales are one of them but high rent is also something that has to be taken into factor.

My mom worked at Sears for roughly 40 years before retiring.  I got a lot of my major applicances there with her discount.  Sad to see another big brick and mortar store bite the dust.

Sears was the first catalog buying store.  Too bad they are closing.  They should have been all over internet buying and beat Amazon out of it.

It is too sad that they did not know how to take advantage of their products.  I believe that if they had a better marketing department they could have done much better, specially with their Craftsman brand (which I believe they sold) along with the Kenmore should have been enough for them to stay afloat, their clothing and home decor has gone down of quality for a while, but a good marking would have done wonders

Sears closing is sad.  The end of an era.
