Jealous family member

Do you have a family member who is jealous of you just because you are bettering yourself? Sadly I am dealing with this. I do not brag about my accomplishments, although I make a decent salary, I have a family so it is not like i have an expensive car and stuff. Just trying to make things alittle easier for the kids.

I don't have a family member who is jealous of me, but I do have a family member who looks down on everyone else that she thinks is less than her.  Sad thing is she claims to be a Christian.

Yep what happened to "Consider others better than yourself"?

My sister put down a group of folks, and did not seem to get she was putting me down. I was included in that group she defined.

She is chosing to ignore she did that, though I confronted her.

Due to jealousy and greed I haven't seen my brother or sister since our mom died in 2010. It is very sad we were so close as kids but it wasn't my idea so I feel like it is for the best. They were always asking my mom for money so I don't want to deal with that now that she is gone.  I'm sorry for your situation sometimes you just have to let people like that go.

Yep, have sis who not so much jealous, but that she  is smarter, and better then the  rest of us. But she is also a user and will never pay back money she has  been lent, nor will she fill up the gas tank  after using it.  Another part of  her is she prefers to lie when the truth would  work just as well. But to each  his or her own. I just  don't have to put up with her much as she lives  thousands of miles away.  And when she does  fly in  I  find some  place else to be. and then let her  vent as to I wasn't  here for her.

People are always going to be jealous no matter what just focus on being the best you as possible.

I agree, it doesn't mattr what you do someone is not going to like it or be jealous.  SO just be the best you you can be!

     Some people simply do not understand.
     Even coworkers and neighbors can be jealous.
     Ignore them is the best way to proceed.

I don't have a family member who is jealous of me but my two daughters are often jealous of one another, particularly if one gets a raise at work starts earning more than the other one.

I have a sister who used to be extremely jealous of the rest of us siblings.  She seems to have mellowed out over the years.  Of course, time will tell whenever the day comes when our Mom passes.  I've heard horror stories of families being splintered after the parents die.

I don't have a family member who is jealous of me but I have a friend who has a supposed "good" friend who is always doing things to sabotage her.  Usually it is small things that she tends to deny or discount but the latest may have ended the relationship.  The so-called "good" friend got her a job where she works and then did everything she could to get her fired.  My friend didn't know all that was happening behind her back until she was called in on the 90th day and was told she was fired.  A number of things has come to her attention since then and it is certainly apparent that the "good" friend is really an enemy!
