Burt Reynolds Passed Away

I just read that Burt Reynolds passed away today at the age of 82.  He was one of my childhood heartthrobs!

Wow sorry to hear and pray for peace and comfort for his family, friends and all his fans. So many of the old greats are gone.

That's so true, not many of the old greats with us these days. In some cases, even the not-so-old greats.

R.I.P. Burt --he will be missed. I was just watching him the other night on an old episode of Gunsmoke he was so good looking in those days and they'll never be another Smokey and the Bandit to all his family and friends my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

I always liked him, no matter what movie he is was in. I  will always remember him in a centerfold  in a women's magazine
the counterpart to the other  one. I was only 21 and not very wise to  things  like that and when my sis-in-law showed it too me I blushed so darn bad and  quickly shut it. Everyone  laughed at me. But that was also the year we went to Las Vegas and went to  some shows. Boy what an eye opener  that was to a little country girl growing up in a community of 1000 people. Now I am older and wiser and things  don't bother me as much. Well most things don't.

I did see that just a little while ago.  It is sad indeed.  I didn't see what the cause of death was but I am afraid that too will be sad.

Rest in peace Burt Reynolds.  February 11, 1936- September 6, 2018.  I was reading a article about him and it refreshed my memory, I forget that he starred in television series such as Gunsmoke, Hawk and Dan August.  He had a number of box office hits, such as Deliverance, The Longest Yard, Smokey and the Bandit, Semi-Tough, Hooper, The Cannonball Run and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.

I watched many of his movies and kind of "swooned' over him when I was in my teens and twenties.  I thought he was hot, very manly and had "swagger."  I am sorry to hear this.  It seems like so many personalities and just 'common folk' I grew up with are leaving this earth.  I guess that is the cycle of life and a good reminder to appreciate the present.
