I don't have anything planned.  I was supposed to work but I switched days with someone.  Supposed to be rainy all weekend.  I'm so sick of the rain.

as always the summer flew by! at least in Massachusetts it still feels like summer. Another heat wave is headed our way in a couple days!
I worked today. I am having lunch with my mother on Monday!
So far those are my exciting plans for the weekend.
Hope everyone has a fun safe weekend! :rainbow: :rose: :peace:

I don’t feel that summer has passed by that fast this year. I have a better memory than many other people do, and I have managed to control my stress by not feeling rushed to get things done. As I put time into perspective, does it feel as if the 2010s has run faster than the 2000s did to me? Nope! You have to think really hard about how fast time actually passes by to realize that time never passes by faster as you grow older. It’s just an “illusion” according to keeping up with responsibilities and the remainder of your life until eternity.

I just started a new job so I didn't do anything but work all summer. I guess it is okay; but sometimes you just need a break away from it all.

Now that I am retired, time seems to run together even more than before.  However, my favorite season (Fall) and months are here (September and October, although I like May a great deal also.)  Summer here in Michigan as been very hot and humid this year.  I detest humidity and am looking forward to 70 degree days, 50 degree nights, and long sleeves and lightweight jackets.  I love the golden Fall days with the colored leaves.  I dislike the shortening daylight hours and the winter that is coming.

I was just discussing this with my husband the other day. Whenever summer starts I am so excited and full of hope but nowadays summer is just working while it is hot outside. Wow, I miss childhood sometimes and having summers off

I have nothing planned for this weekend.  I don't know where the year went.  As I get older, the more time flys by quickly.

Yes, summer did go by fast, I am retired, so life is a vacation; but I do substitute teach during the regular school year and sometimes tutor on the side, since my schedule is my own these days I am flexible enough to take vacation basically whenever I want to providing the funds are in place, when I was in the world of full time work, I had to schedule vacation as I did not have the kind of free time I have now.  Hope you get to take a vacation, the body needs to rest!!
