Summers never seem to fly, they are long and hot, although every year overall seems faster to me as I get older! Autumn is what always seems to fly in my opinion

I worked all summer.  Will be working on Labor Day and taking the extra day off the following Friday for a long weekend in Pigeon Forge, TN for my sister's wedding.
Have a wonderful day!

I'm not able to work, so I do some surveys to pass the time and earn a little extra some, some.

The summer did fly by, but I will not miss the heat. I hope fall comes sooner than later because I am so ready for it to get here. I like to enjoy the outdoors, but it is hard when it is so hot outside.

Well, I no longer work and live on what we have saved and social security. No specific vacation but I am learning to love life so much, everyday is a vacation wherever I am.

We had a lot of rain this summer so I kind of feel cheated. Need to close the pool up soon and hardly anyone used it.

It is hard to believe August is almost over and September will be here in a few days.  Then just think it will be Christmas all over again.   :) :) :) :)  :present: :present: :present: :present:

I am not sure why people complain about Christmas. If you don't want to decorate or purchase gifts then don't.
I worked in retail a few years ago and this woman came in and she bought the $1 deodorant for the women and some $1 something for the men. She actually threw them at me as she put them on the counter and was fussing about having to buy stuff and if they didn't like it they could throw it in the trash she really didn't care.  People like that amaze me.  If you do not want to participate in a holiday then DON'T. But don't complain because others do or complain because they holiday season is here.

I have been waiting for this three day weekend for a few weeks now and now I think it may rain all weekend. I am still going to try to make the best of it anyway and enjoy not waking up early.

Hard to believe that the first Labor day was celebrated on September 5, 1882.  I've been working hard all summer and finally get to look forward to vacation after Labor day!  Can't wait!

I don't have to know summer's ending, all of sudden I'm feeling those familiar WINTER BLUES! I don't know why but even though I prefer the cooler weather to the hot exhausting summer air heat, I just start feeling the blues right around this time. I guess it's because my birthday, in September is coming fast, another year older watching the young run around happily oblivious of the worries that burden us older folks!

I have been waiting for this weekend for a few weeks now and now that it is here, I am battling a cold thanks to school opening back up and it has also been raining everyday again. I am still going to enjoy this weekend though.

I guess it's all in the perception.  Now that I am older and retired, the days fly by at lightening speed!  When I was little, a day felt like an eternity!  From one Christmas to another felt endless, but now I'm going,  "OMG, it's time to start thinking about Christmas again!"  Maybe it's because it takes me longer to do the same project than in younger years, but I can't seem to find enough time to get everything done that I want to accomplish in a day!  I guess it doesn't help that I just FINALLY completed a "20 minute" survey in an hour and a half!!  I thought those questions would never quit coming, but hey, I qualified for a survey and completed it successfully.  The tortoise and the hare!
