I always wash vegetables as well as fruit. I would never eat any of it without washing first.

I wash all vegetables that I purchase.  I also wash salad that says no need to wash.  I see people in grocery stores eating grapes etc.  They are not clean, so why eat something that is not clean.  SMH

I have mixed feelings on this issue.  And for that quote, that washing the vegetables can only help... That would be funny to me if it wasn't so sad.  Considering our tap water has known carcinogens in it, don't tell me that it can't hurt.

I agree.  Furthermore, knowing how veggies grow, it'd be good just to assume they're dirty and clean them anyway.

I always wash fresh vegetables because sometimes they have some dirt on them.  There is nothing worst than eating vegetables and you feel grits of dirt in your food.

Some people make a veggie wash, I think it's usually made of vinegar and water.

I didn't see what the pros couldv'e been to not washing your veggies either.  I think it just depends on how you were raised and whether or not you saw/were taught to rinse.

I don't see a potential downside to it....?
