I couldn't believe it when I heard she had her first child at the age of 12 years old!  The second one at 14!!  She never would say who the father(s) were.

Well, a lot of adolescents had kids back in the mid-20th Century AD because life expectancy was much lower than it is nowadays. Therefore, many people don’t start having kids until those people with that desire are in their 30s!

I like almost all of  her music.  It seems like all of the good singers are passing away.  Still some good country, gospel singers left. But the so called rap is so awful that  I can't stand to listen to it. thank goodness most radio stations still play a lot of the oldies and goodies.

Aretha was a treasure who's excellent singing could brighten anyone's day.  Hearing her sing always gave me goose

Sad day for R&B and history itself! She was such a role model for the music industry! Amazing talent and person that ever lived. Rest in peace sweet angel Aretha! :(

I enjoyed Aretha's singing.  She had a great voice.  She was one of the greats!  I have  music playing in the background now as I do my daily Fusion Cash routine.........

I wonder what Madonna is thinking because Elvis died on her birthday and now Aretha Franklin. That sure will give you pause for sure.
