Best ways to supplement your income
« on: July 23, 2018, 12:33:10 pm »
Anyone have any tips on how I can supplement my income? I'm willing to do just about anything because my employer barely pays me minimum wage (and I'm a college graduate).

What I currently do:

1.) Phone sex (I told you I'd do anything)

2. Fusion Cash

3. Selling sodas to coworkers at a slight mark-up

4. Grocery store couponing apps

5. One tenant who lives in my basement

Any other ideas? I have a $1600/month mortgage and $400/month car payment. I'm gonna be broke for awhile. Lol

If you have any crafting skills you can sell things you make on Etsy. For other ideas check out the Penny Hoarder blog. They have a lot of articles that can help.

You may have to get another tenant to live in another part of the house.

I tried getting another tenant but he turned out to be a heroin addict. LOL. Leaving well enough alone for now.

Sell the car (if you can get enough to pay off the loan) and get a "beater" for cash... no car payment!

Lots of ways to supplement your income, many sites like Fusion Cash   Since you mentioned grocery store couponing apps, have you tried grocery apps like Receipt Hog?  There are several that you upload your receipt and you will receive points towards a cashout.  Might take a bit but every little bit helps.  Also if you shop for groceries at Walmart be sure to sign up for Savings Catcher.  It's a great deal.  You upload your receipt and if they find a lower advertised price you will receive the difference.  I currently have over 29.00 on my savings catcher which I will use to buy more groceries.

Giving plasma twice a week can give you a few hundred dollars per month.depending on your weight. Visiting five to ten sites like, but not as good as, fusion cash can put a few hundred dollars in your pocket. I have read a few dozen articles and Uber eats/Uber driving/Lyft seems to be working for quite few people. Some people donate semen for a few hundred dollars a month (you said anything). Being a non-sexual escort/companion helps clients out when they don't want to have a relationship but must show up to events with a 'date' and is supposed to pay well. Recycling scrap metal can be worth a  hundred dollars or so. Task rabbit pairs you up with people looking to have things done around their house. Rover pays people to walk dogs. Or some people fall back on working forty hours  a week.

Hi! :D :)

Maybe try writing your own blog about phone sex or whatever you want. Help some people online who are going through the same thing as you can be very rewarding. Additionally, why don't you try investing some money and making your money work for you try apps like stash and Acorn! :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

You could be a dog sitter for people going out of town.  There's a real need for that.  Also, there's driving for transportation services like Uber on your own time, whenever you are available.  I just heard of a service with Uber that delivers food/groceries? to people who have ordered online.  I don't know anything about it, but if it appeals to you, you could do some research.

For what it's worth... I know a lot of people that drive for Uber/Lyft for extra income. But my husband tried driving for Uber when he was out of work a few years ago and didn't do it for very long. You don't make much unless you're driving during peak hours and then you have to be crazy quick to respond because you're competing with all the other drivers. Plus Uber takes a pretty big chunk of the money. You also have to consider all the wear and tear on your car, fuel, maintenance, which is more money out of your pocket.

Get rid of the $400 car payment.  Heck it sounds like you are living on credit so get rid of the house too and start living how your paycheck reflects.  IMO - I lived off credit and regret having run my first 20 years of adult life that way.  Boy if I'd only known then what I know now.  Living house poor is no way to live.  Not for this girl anyway.
