He seems to be a nice decent human being, but I am fearful of what he is going to do to women's reproductive rights.

I think it's a splendid choice. I watched the presentation last evening and was impressed with Judge Kavanaugh and his family.

Hopefully, he will set aside political views and apply the Constitution as written as he stated.

He can't do anything to women's "reproductive rights". It's fear tactics.  The "worst thing" that would happen if Roe vs Wade was ever repealed, which I believe, isn't even been discussed except to provoke fear by the left -- is that abortions wouldn't be Federally protected, it would be up to each individual state to determine their abortion stance. & at least in 46 states, it wouldn't even be an issue to revoke.   Much ado over nothing.

There is a big difference between "reproductive rights" and "right to abort your baby".

The baby's heart is first audible at 18 days.

Not one is trying to stop anyone from getting pregnant.

He seems to be a nice decent human being, but I am fearful of what he is going to do to women's reproductive rights.

He can't do anything about "women's  reproductive rights." He's would be 1 of 8 other Justices and unless they would get another case on it, nothing will be done. Even then, a majority is needed to "vote" on any case in front of them. Roe v. Wade will never be repealed and even if it was, the states would be able to make the abortion laws for their state.

Women have always had reproductive rights. They could always use their own method of birth control and that will always be the case. What IS needed is men to take responsibility for birth control, too, not just the woman. If men or women don't want kids, then the appropriate birth control would be better than getting an abortion. Even lawful, abortion can still come with problems that could make a woman infertile, or even having to undergo a hysterectomy.

As for Kavanaugh, if he follows the Constitution and the rule of law, then he needs to be in the Supreme Court. Lately, some of those Justices think they can make law and that's not the case. Since he was mentored under Justice Kennedy, Kavanaugh could be the swing vote like Kennedy was.  The protests against him is all a bunch of YKW because they protested before he was even chosen. It's all because the organizers of these protests hate the president, nothing more.

I'm on the fence.  I think Trump could have done a lot worse.  I'm anxious to see the hearings and see what he has to say.

I think he would be a great  Supreme Judge.  But I am afraid the democrats are going to throw another hissy fit. They don't bother to introduce a person to run for the  high courts but they don't want  some one chosen by President Trump either. I can't see  they be willing to put him in. I hate to see more mud throwing at anyone. Lord knows they have done enough at President his family.

We did have a say, when we voted for President.

This argument always makes me laugh... people demanding a do-over if they didn't get their way.
