How do I post a banner?

I don't know if this was addressed in a different post, but I can't find it so here goes

I have a blog on wordpress.com and a facebook page.  Is there a way to put a banner on either/both of those?  Does anyone know whether wordpress allows that?  And how do I put a link on my Facebook?  I don't know if it'll get anyone else to join, but it's sure worth a try!!

in facebook, just post your referral link in your status. Never done wordpress, but do they use..

If you're posting your banner in an entry on your Wordpress blog, make sure the post entry form is set to 'HTML', not 'Visual'. Then, go to http://www.fusioncash.net/creatives.php and choose the banner you want to post, and copy the HTML code and paste it into your Wordpress entry.

As for Facebook, I know notes allow HTML, so you could do the same there. Or you could just post the link itself as a link to your wall, and add a little blurb about it.

Do you know if you can post a banner like an ad on the side of a wordpress blog?  You know-one that always shows up no matter what they're looking at?
