Mail Box !

So i thought i've seen the other person in my duplex building, i'm renting half of, digging in my mailbox.....  Yesterday I was watching and caught her , I walked out on my deck and yelled at her
"WHAT are you doing digging threw my mail ?? "   She got very defensive and angry saying she was looking for her mail..that might have been put in my box.  Because it's happened before , so she admitted being in my mail before ,  I told her  " STAY OUT of my mailbox.  She got ALL angry and yelled i'm  not trying to steal your mail.    I called the post office and reported it  they say i have to call the cops,  I reported it to my land lord  and SHE  yelled at me saying  i don't like this woman and I'm causing problems  !!  WOW  what is wrong with this picture ? People are nuts !

Put a camera on your mailbox & call the police next time it happens. If you haven't already done so.
You legal aren't even supposed to put received wrong mail in the proper mail box...  you legally can't walk & put flyers or advertising in a mail box. 

The land lord probably doesn't want to get involved, because the tenant pays their rent on time & doesn't want them to leave.  All about the Benjamins....

You can also request, or do it yourself, a locked mailbox.... based on what kind of mail box it is.

That's a tough one because all you could really do is put up a camera but that is going toa lot of trouble. Have you noticed anything missing from your mail so far?

You legal aren't even supposed to put received wrong mail in the proper mail box...  you legally can't walk & put flyers or advertising in a mail box.

Yes its always about money, that's what the land lord said also she is a good renter !!   I'm lucky my computer is right at  right spot to watch , if she does it again I will call the cops.
They seem to like picking on me because i'm disabled and ALONE  with no one to tell them how it is.  I just think its nuts, i did nothing but protect what's mine and i get made out to be the bad guy !!

You need a camera to video tape her going through your mailbox.  This way you have solid evidence of her doing this.  Since the landlord won't help you out, it's time for the police.  The woman has no business in your mailbox, and you shouldn't have to pay the post office for a P.O. Box, but if worse comes to worse and you get no satisfaction any other way, do that.

You need to file a police report. This is a federal offense. Maybe you need to root thru HER mail box. Say Oh I am looking for MY mail that may have been put in your box.  If I were you I would change everything I can to online. All my credit cards and bank accounts I get thru email.  Then go open a post office box and change your mailing address to that.

The landlord can't do anything about it.  The only person(s) who can is the police.  All they will do is file a report though. They can't do anything to her unless you have video of her in your mailbox.

Are you able to drive? Can you go to the post office a couple times a week? Do what I said, change everything to get it online, and then change the address to the PO box then just go a couple times a week and get your mail.

The landlord can't do anything. It is nothing to her. She could tell her not to be in someone else's mailbox but she really has no right to do that.  It is a legal matter. A post office box doesn't cost that much.  Until I bought my own property when I was renting I always had a po box.

Can you change your mail box to one that locks, going to the post office is a pain.

I've had a PO Box for years that I have my gun mags and credit card bills sent to...might look into that.
If not, get those firecrackers that have the pull strings on each end...tie one end off inside the mailbox the other end to mailbox lid, she opens it up....BAM!!!!!!!!!!!

Or a nasty pile of dog POOP !!!   Yeah it's a trip ! She acted so put out  that i dare say any thing about it!   Like who are you to question me !  " nasty B - itch "   And my land lord  i'm  the person causing problems  !  tell the other person stay out of my box ! I do not really care for the woman she acts all high and mighty ... and is always SO moody !  Love the new place  but the woman upstairs is a trip!

Maybe if you had just politely asked, "can I help you?".   She probably would have given you the same answer and you could have nicely said, oh I understand, I promise if I ever get any of your mail I'll get it to you, but I would appreciate it if you didn't go through my mail.  sometimes being nice will get you a lot further.

Wow I wouldn't want to see anyone going through my mail especially because I just changed my last name and when they send out new credit cards some are already active!

I had Identity thief once already, why i got so worked up !!  I think it's  100% rude, she could have told me she was expecting something , or if she would have just asked - it would have not looked so sneaky ,  I have never been in any ones mail box  and wouldn't dare .
