No, I'm not a chatter. I am mostly quiet and keep to myself.

It depends on my mood and situation. I can go either way. I have been know to keep my mouth shut and go out of my way to be left alone. I have also been known to strike up a conversation and have a very pleasant interaction with someone. I have even occasionally had people talk about some pretty personal stuff. Afterwards, I usually realize that the person really needed to vent and talk to someone who was not part of the equation.

I will talk to people if it's necessary to have a conversation with them. Other wise most of the time while being out I don't say much to anybody. Some people are easy to talk to.

If somebody else speaks to me first, I usually reply and then go into conversation, but I don't usually start them up myself. My husband always does, though. We have met a lot of really interesting people that way, particularly in Costco where you find all different kinds of people.

I'm not a chatter, I just don't go up to someone and start making conversations, If I don't want to make myself approachable I'll put this look on my face and let you know, don't say anything to me.

No I'm not. I speak when spoken to but I'm not one to just strike up conversations with strangers. If I need something I will ask but I'm not a talkative person.

To the OP: Oh goodness, no! I am an introvert by nature. I tend to avoid conversing with people, especially strangers as much as humanly possible. It is not that I am rude; I am simply uncomfortable (and wary about) walking up to a complete stranger, and asking how they are doing, etc.
