Were You a Morning, Afternoon, or Full-Day Kindergartener

I was a full-day kindergartener because of my autism, and my Special Ed teachers therefore had to help structure me so I wouldn’t grow up to be naughty.

Too long ago for me to remember....

I was in half-day kindergarten. It was all my school district offered at the time. Pretty sure it was in the morning, but I don't remember much about it so who knows if that is true.

    Because today they hire them out for labor,actors in psas  " if you're walking like this child then you're drunk,don't be a drunk baby"

Morning time , i remember every detail of it. Getting milk , and taking a nap on a rug... and a very nasty mean teacher who always had kids in the corner! One that would be in jail for abuse now days...  I was scared to death of her.

I was abused child and I didn't know that at that time, so I was so terrified of everything, nothing to be scared of that room was colorful, cheerful teacher, happy kids, shady play ground, geeze I did-could-not learn anything, mind is a horrible thing to waste. We need help because that becomes a vicious cycle that can't be broke if you don't get help, and there wasn't any kind of help. Kids can be so fragile in different ways and times.   It took me like I was in the third or forth grade before reading as like others, you never recover from that never catch up no matter what any one says, missed opportunities and Pursuit of Happiness is limited and yes there are persons to blame too. So I was a redo-Kindergartener

I'm older , we didn't even have stone tablets, we had to draw in the sand !

Even though I was in kindergarten some 65 years ago, I strongly remember going to morning kindergarten. I still vividly remember the first day when a boy pushed me off the jungle gym, so I just left and went home. Of course,
my mother brought me right back. The teacher hadn't even noticed my absence, which was a little disconcerting to mom.

Kindergartens were new when I was a kid, just becoming required by state and fed.

We still took naps, in afternoon kindergarten classes. We each had a rug, and napped half an hour. Then woke up to graham crackers and milk.

I didn't go to Kindergarten.  Started in the first grade.

I think they push kids too hard these days.  They want them to start pre-pre-school at about 3 years old.  Let's let them be kids for a little while anyway.

Probably have computers in Kindergarten now....
